My friend Shelby worked in a strip club in Atlanta about 10 years ago. Guy came in and paid every girl in the club $2,000 each to sit in the VIP room and watch him do coke. Way back in the day in a strip club I managed on "K" Road in Auckland in New Zealand a group of 4 Japanese businessmen came to the club early one Monday night and through the only one of them that could speak English asked me how much for me to close the club down just for them for the rest of the evening.

It was about 7.30pm and there were about 8 guys inside and I think from memory I had 10 girls working, the door guy, the bar girl and myself.

I looked at them and said "$2000, but you pay extra for the girls and you pay for for your drinks", figuring he was just big noting himself in front of his peers.

Without a word he reached into his jacket coat (as usual they were all in suits), pulled out one of the fattest wads of notes I have ever seen (and I have seen some fat wads of cash, believe you me), peeled off NZ$4000 in $50's and said "Is that enough for all?".

I believe I chuckled loudly as I took the proffered cash and said "Sure".

Even longer story short - took me and my bouncer 5 minutes to clear the 8 guys out of the club, gave each of the girls $100 each (a lappy was like $10 to them in those days, so good money), gave the bar girl $50 and said run a tab and gave my bouncer $100, so from get go I was up shitloads in my own sky rocket from that.

Ended up getting completely smashed with these 4 Japs, they were throwing $50 tips at the girls all night long, they paid the bar girl $500 to do body shots off her naked while lying on the bar (she had NEVER got naked in the club prior to that, but I'll be fucked if she didn't have her gear off in a heartbeat once she saw the money !!) and they paid my bouncer $200 to fuck off and go home.

About 4am, with every one of the girls drunk as skunks and off their respective trolley's, and Japs and girls disappearing to the lap dance room constantly, and these guys just throwing money around like candy, they left - each of them with one or two of the strippers and one my bar girl - and there was even more money thrown at the girls for that added extra.

Before leaving they gave me $2000 for the bar tab. I think what the bar girl had recorded before she sort of just became part of the melee was like $1300 (at like $3/$4 a standard cocktail or beer), so my pocket got fatter and fatter.

On the way out the door, the English speaking guy turned to me and handed me another $1000 and bowed and thanked me and went on and on.

They must have dropped at LEAST $12k+, if not lots more, as it was hard to keep track of all the tips being thrown around.

We are talking 20 years ago (1980's) and when AU$ & US$ we pretty much 1:1 and NZ$ about 0.8:1 on both, so even BIGGER dollars in perspective.

My commission (and my skim) was VERY nice thankyou very much.

Never, ever saw anything like that (and I have seen and done a lot), and never saw any of the Japs again.
