activate ethernet card in RedHat8
 

Have now installed RedHAT 8 on my pc, but it can't find the ethernet card. I've run the commando dmesg | grep eth0 and "activate" in the network config, but nothin worked...help me!!!

Yo.

try ifup probably in your sbin directory.
something like
./ifup eth0

late.

ifconfig eth0 [your_ip] [your_subnet] up

eg

ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 up

dont forget to config your rauter!!!!

RH8 is shit. The network stack needs some work. big time.

But it looks similar to another product everyone is used too....

I have installed rh8 on ALL my family's PC's. No more - hey, everytime I start my pc explorer loads up and starts popping a million windows full of pr0n!

I start up my computer and a purple monkey comes flying at me!

or

I downloaded and installed this program and now my computer doesnt work - I think you installed this pc with a virus....

Now, no one has privileges to install proggy's..... and since 99% of viruses are written for outlook... I have next to no work left... ahhhh... thanks RH8!!!
