Back in the land of the Babes
 

After the last few weeks it's good to get back to Czech.

Eva, Victoria and I went to the US. To see some clients and show the US section of the family, Victoria. The trip was very enjoyable, educational and profitable. The magazines are buying and looking forward.

On our return to CZ I went straight to Berlin for the show and would like to thank all the guys I met there, especially Danny, Steve, Tanker, Frank, Tabor, another Danny and many more.

What I learnt from these guys about the web was invaluable, hopefully I was able to share some knowledge of porn back.

But the most interesting thing was to talk about business as it is today, this month and the future six months. Regarding the situation with CC processing and the shake up it will have to the industry.

The general feeling was that Europe will be moving into line with the new rules, soon and this will follow for processing credit cards on the Internet around the world.

The immediate effect is for some Content providers is business is down by a large percentage. Last month we lost a lot of the small orders and business was definitely down, but not to a level we cannot sustain. However some of my fellow content providers are down by a very large amount which if it continues on, cannot be sustained.

I've been in business (not just porn) since 1972 and in a time of famine the weak perish, the strong survive. A bit weaker but pickings off the bones of the weak are good and they?re soon are back to where they were or even better. We are also entering a recession thanks to that lovely man in the White House, who has given up on Osam and is now going after Saddam. Good move, he does not want to look like a failure. And the last thing he needs is people looking to closely at economy in the US.

Normally in a time of recession porn does well, not much else to do but spank the monkey when you are laid off. The Internet is the cheapest supply of porn so we should not be too disheartened. It will just trickle down to here. Pornographers who?ve been in business over 10 years will confirm this.

So to conclude I think the next 12 moths will be interesting. For some profitable, for others the end.

Yeah i heard on the news yesterday that employment stats are not good -- fewer jobs -- spending is down... they predicted the fed would lower interest rates again...

I have noticed in the last few weeks a pessimistic attitude from lots of webmasters. It will be hard for some, but a lot will survive and the Adult Net will be stronger.

And those that do last will be in as better position to prosper.
