An Afghan family living in a £1.2million home paid for by the taxpayer admitted yesterday they felt as if they had won the lottery.

Mother-of-seven Toorpakai Saiedi, 35, receives £170,000 a year in benefits.

A staggering £150,000 of that is paid to a private landlord for the rent of a seven-bedroom house in West London.

The detached property in Acton has two large reception rooms, two kitchens, a dining room and a 100ft garden. Ealing Council is picking up the £12,458 a month bill - which is nearly five times the rent for a similar property in the same road.

Outside the house yesterday, Mrs Saiedi's son Jawad said: 'When the council chose to put us here we did not say no. If someone gave you a lottery jackpot would you leave it?

Well, with that money you could house a lot more refugees.

The kid is right, not many people would say no if it were offered but it creates a resentment towards govt supported refugees when stories like this get out.

Reminds me of the OXO tower just south of the river, totally corrupt council officials giving superb accomodation just up the road from the London Eye, for the same prices as subsidised housing in the scummy parts, to their mates.

I like how everyone is blaming the immigrants for "ripping off the system" and not the corrupt officials who set it up and are charging the council 500% rent or which they would be recieving the lion's share. The imigrants are just the set up for the scam you 'tards, no one would be aware of whats going on and how much things are costing because the corrupt officials are the only ones dealing with the paper trail. It's an old scam with nothing to do with immigration or social policy, as long as one party has money and another party can profit from their gate keeper status it's going to happen.

There are places in the World that are fucked up, they have always been fucked up and will remain fucked up. Some of these places are Inner city areas and some countries. Sometimes it's down to culture, religion or history. Sometimes when they kick out the rulers they let in a worse bunch of leaders who do worse for them. Examples are many.

Why should I feel guilty about them when they don't feel guilty about me?

I'm white and European and it's my duty to save all of them. Even if they clearly do not want to be saved.

Afghanistan is a prime example of the above being true.

Why the UK has to take in all the waifs and strays who are clearly a drain on the system is something only the politicians can answer. The politicians are not always living in the areas which suffer the worse from their do good Politically Correct motives. If they did they would think differently.
