Why Do Some Nats Sponsers Take 3 Fckn Mnths To Pay ?

Lately i been taking a real hard look at the stubbs and realize that the dates that i made the sales are way back to early june.Obviously were now in october,so thats almost 3 moths later. Why so long to cut a check? i understand 30 days but 3 fukcing mths?

Fucksakes 10-07-2008 09:05 PM

you need to make the min payout :P

After Shock Media 10-07-2008 09:07 PM

Minimum payout + accounting delay (typically 2 weeks) + mailing time (for checks) or load times for Epass (never fast).

I know of one that don't even have a normal payout schedule.. pays whenever and random :1orglaugh

Minimum payout, mixed with generally a 2 period hold to account for credits, chargebacks and fraud, plus the time to arrive to your mail box.

You can always go ccbill revshare and get paid every week with just a 2 week lag at the start

Ok to put it bluntly,ARS (and a handfull of other sponsers)has paid me within 3-5 days of the last ending period for the past 9 years.Yet thers some NATS companys that take forever.Just dont get it,and has nothing to do with the reaching the minimum.

gleem 10-07-2008 09:19 PM

probably because most programs are moving to a 30 day wait period to 45 days cause of high fraud on PPS and even on revshare. I'm moving in that direction too.

but you gotta figure, payperiod ends say June 30th, 30 day wait period, then he does a payout in his software, send it to the check issuer, it's already begining of sept, they get the checks ready, gets em in the mail mid sept, you get it a week or so later and it's october.

actually they are waiting for all the chargebacks from prechecked cross sales to come in, lol

3 months is pretty ridiculous. It is up to the program owners when to pay etc.

rowan 10-07-2008 11:21 PM

I've seen NATS sponsors where manually loading payments.php (they forgot to delete it) shows payment was sent via epass 2 or 4 or 6 weeks ago, yet nothing has arrived. I don't know whether someone at the program is just batch marking them as sent to shut up some reminder, or is it marked as sent automatically by NATS on defined payment days? Either way, I agree with the OP, it's unfortunately not uncommon.

fuzebox 10-07-2008 11:22 PM

Uh, what does affiliate program software have to do with a company not paying you?

Jens Van Assterdam 10-07-2008 11:23 PM

Its not a NATS problem lol

As far as I know in NATS which I use with the program in my sig. There is no nag for payments, nor no auto built in batch default. You just have your payouts area where it lists the breakdowns by payment types; for instance check, epass, so on. Then the amounts and your tools next to it (with period dates of course). You manually view, set to paid, etc.

Actually minus a screen cap here is what it says. Under Actions they both have view, edit, set as paid.

Open Payments
Pay Via Resellers Total Amount Actions

Above one includes all monies owed. Even those who have not reached minimum payouts yet.

Stored Payments
Stored Date Paid Date Pay Via Total Amount Actions

Above lists all payouts currently due to people that have reached the minimum payout status. They are grouped together and not listed individually. Old payouts are also listed in this table.

Now I know you can set up a way to run automatic payouts, but that is not default. Even then you still run it from that page though.

I think the point is that such programs are more than capable in proper hands yet at the same time the affiliates are counting on anyone who runs a program and nats to handle all the payouts and accounting. Something that is not required when dealing with sponsors that let the processors handle payouts etc.
