McCain reminds me of Kermit the frog...

An old puppet :-(

seeric 10-07-2008 06:25 PM

Paper_Amar 10-07-2008 06:26 PM

mccain is a freaking robot

Eric 10-07-2008 06:27 PM

Obama is doing a good job of ignoring the Jabs

Libertine 10-07-2008 06:28 PM

He's not just getting smoked, he's rambling incoherently.

He's finished. No chance of winning the election now.

The Duck 10-07-2008 06:30 PM

All I hear when they speak is BLA BLA BLA both of them. It's just a show for the dumb people of the world. Watch the videos below and you will know what I mean. I'm watching the debate on a live stream.

MaDalton 10-07-2008 06:31 PM

am i wrong, or has McCain only one answer that he is repeating in variations totally ignoring what the actual question is?

SoloGirlsContent 10-07-2008 06:33 PM

McCain is shitty and old

yah, he is.

also, mccain is historically a hot head. i wouldn't be surprised if he does something out of line and shoots his mouth off about something to make himself look bad. a lot of the pundits have said that he has in the past not been able to hold back and has made himself look bad.

Several times, it seemed as if he was at a loss for words and simply had to repeat some standard campaign phrases in order not to fall silent.

Cory W 10-07-2008 06:37 PM

My friends.

Sausage 10-07-2008 06:42 PM

Looks like the US is heading towards being a 1 party state ;)

StickyGreen 10-07-2008 06:42 PM

They have you guys fooled so fucking hard with this Obama shit.

McCain is obviously a puppet douche, but for some reason the people can't see through Obama. They are on the same fucking team and no one even realizes it? The dems and repubs have been doing this forever now it seems... wake up... you have no choice anymore!

Other candidates used to be involved in debates because the debates were controlled by a nonpartisan group, the Women's League of Voters. But when people like Ross Perot started to rock their establishment, guess who took over control of the debates? The Republicrats control the debates now.

Here is what the Women's League of Voters officially said about giving up control of the debates:

"The League of Women Voters is withdrawing sponsorship of the presidential debates...because the demands of the two campaign organizations would perpetrate a fraud on the American voter. It has become clear to us that the candidates' organizations aim to add debates to their list of campaign-trail charades devoid of substance, spontaneity and answers to tough questions. The League has no intention of becoming an accessory to the hoodwinking of the American public."

Open your eyes, this system we all blindly believe to be fine and dandy is WRONG. You can't lose a race when you own all the horses in it.

I just laid out the situation regarding who controls the debates, and that doesn't get under your skin just a little bit? The system is fucking rigged and all people can do is sit back and say "so what?" "We HAVE to pick one anyways?" Wtf is wrong with this country.

dont blame washington... blame yourself, blame me, blame the people of this country..

we are the ones that have tuned out of politics and just sit silent until the govt does something that causes us pain...

its time for people to stand up and speak out...

people in this country act so helpless...

remember how this country was built.. it was built on the backs of its people and their willingness to participate, not just complain....

You still don't get it man, and it's okay, it's not your fault. Everyone in America has been indoctrinated into this system since birth... it's hard to wake up and see what's going on. Most people have such busy lives that they don't even have time to know the mainstream knowledge that they are "supposed to know," let alone what is really going on.

The citizens can't do shit about the rigged system until they KNOW ABOUT IT. Most people, I'd say at least 70-80% of Americans still have no clue that they are being bamboozled.

Even you think there will be a huge difference between a McCain administration and an Obama administration. :Oh crap

Good for votes, bad show of personality. The format was agreed on by both campaigns, and sticking by the agreements you make is a fairly important trait. Politicians renegotiating their promises isn't something you want.

It's all moot now, though. Barring something truly extreme, Obama gets the job.

spacedog 10-07-2008 07:23 PM

Ok, now I know they're both swine.. Both of them blame Russia for the Georgia aggression and genocide.

GEORGIA was the aggressor, not Russia.

The ONLY reason they side with Georgia is because they're allied and have an air force base from which an attack on Iran will be launched.

They're both fucking puppets.

How is it rigged? How are we being bamboozled. Please do explain. You can't just make statements and not back them up.

There will be no fundamental differences. The President doesn't run the country. The lobbyists and big business do. If you're not prepared to tell me how I'm an idiot, don't call me one please. I'm very well versed in the things I discuss.

Your response to this:

Most people have such busy lives that they don't even have time to know the mainstream knowledge that they are "supposed to know," let alone what is really going on.

Was this:

You're a genius. I'm stupid. Expound please.

How in the world would you come to the conclusion that I was calling you stupid in that sentence? Most people in America being too busy trying to make a living does not mean that they are stupid, it just means they have less time to sit around and dig deep into things.

So Airek, you want to know what is "really going on?" It has taken me damn near a decade of countless nights reading and reading and reading and researching everything to finally wake myself up, how would you expect me to do the same for you in a GFY thread?

Check out this old video of George, he pretty much lays it down in laymans terms:

seeric 10-07-2008 07:43 PM

I called myself stupid in an effort to get you to tell me why I'm so blind. You don't know what anyone's level of interest or education on a subject are. I get it. If you can't see that after the years you've been reading my posts then I don't know what to tell you. The fact that I am competitive and want one person to win over another has zero to do with me thinking anyone will accomplish anything. Please. I only play a moron on TV.

Edit: FYI George rocks. Yes he nails it. Of course I get it, but you are right, many Americans do not.

Drake 10-07-2008 07:49 PM

Not that debates necessarily matter, but it was clearly another victory for Obama. More focused, more coherent, more specific, overall better answers.

All in all, not an impressive debate at all. Very boring. Same info as the previous one.
