Already have, waiting for them to get back to me, but I am panicking, just wondered if anyone had any other advice
|
yes, do not panic, but stress the hosting to hurry up. Make sure they check in who accessed your server, and change passwords on other systems. He/She might have more info, where your sponsors are, or your epass shit. Hope you do not have a password that never changes and is the same everywhere you go
|
Without access to access your machines, there's not much you can do.
I'd consider setting up a cheap virtualhost with a page noting that you will be back online shortly, and point all domains to that. If your sites are still working, it doesn't mean that your userbase and code isn't compromised, I'd rather tell people "come back tomorrow" than lose users due to some iframe/js/etc exploit. |
you still got root, right ?
log in and change the passwords. |
