Americans’ Satisfaction at All-Time Low of 9%
October 7, 2008 Presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain are set to meet for the second presidential debate in Nashville Tuesday night at a time when only 9% of Americans are satisfied with the way things are going in the United States -- the lowest such reading in Gallup Poll history. Wow, I'm not sure if I'm more surprised that it could get that low or if that there's still actually 9% (27,000,000 people) out there that are actually satisfied with the way things are. |

Dont count out Republican fear tactics of spreading hate and divisiveness as we're starting to see. And as I always say, dont overestimate the intelligence of the average American. Any kind of October surprise like a new terrorist threat, an attack on US interests, a new tape from Bin Laden or Al Qaeda, etc will tilt the momentum back.

Sarah Palin could be a game changer, let's hope.

bananas....
One poll says Obama +15 another says Obama +2 and yet another says Obama +0... RCP site says 'Favorable' rating is Obama+18, McCain +11 - but Reuters says the favorable ratings are McCain 57, Obama 55. and quotes the Zogby poll as Obama +3 With all this disparity in the polls, how can you put ANY stock whatsoever in any of them? This race is no where near over and is basically a dead heat. For every double digit lead poll - there are 4 or 5 that put it less than the margin of error. It's going to be right to the wire... like it or not! |
