Nov. 5 Nevada legalize marijuana vote
You think it will be voted legal in Nevada?
|
I am not much of a pot head anymore, but I see no problem with the goverment selling it in liqour stores and putting a tax on it.
In my opinion drinking hard liqour is 100x worse then smoking some erb |
I'll be voting "Yes" for it, but I don't expect it to pass....Vegas, despite it's reputaion, is too conservative for it....the Mormons will turn out in droves and vote it down....

I am hoping all the young people and people who normally do not vote will come through and pass it. If it is passed in Nevada there is a good chance the rest of the country will observe how well it works and other states will follow |

California will follow. No way they wont pass up such money Cant wait. :smokin |
Is this Vegas thing based on something? Like, are they actually planning to potentially legalize it? It'd be nice. Don't know if it'll ever happen.
|
its about time to make it legal

Well I hope the majority of you are correct:winkwink:

So far, it looks like it's getting shot down 37-63...so my prediction of 35-65 was close...........
once again, the mormons turned out in droves...we'll also now have a "legal definition" of marriage too....... so, gays will have no partner benefit rights, potheads will still be criminals and the new republican controlled everything will kill our business........... It's going to be a fun ride kids....buckle up! |

Nevada voters have defeated a proposed constitutional amendment to let adults possess up to three ounces of marijuana for personal use. Question Nine was backed by a group
called Nevadans for Responsible Law Enforcement. It would have made Nevada's pot laws the most liberal in the nation. |
10:39 PM PST Question 9 Marijuana
1,108 of 1,672 precincts - 66 percent Yes, 152,450 - 39 percent x-No, 240,630 - 61 percent |

It's like porn. The only people who will really fight for it are people like you and me, nobody else wants their image dragged through the dirt. Who wants to be labeled a pothead? |

yeah, no one wants to have dirty hands anymore....pussies... actually, I've figured out a plan...it started with me cutting my hair...I'm going to infiltrate from within....kind of like the Aryan Nation did...they covered their tatooes, grew their hair, started wearing shirts and ties and got into office runner jobs for powerful leaders.... |
Nevada only?Please,please worldwide.....
|
39% of people supporting the legalization is pretty good for the first try. Wait a few years for some more old people to die and be replaced by a younger generation of voters and it will eventually go through.
Canada is looking into legalizing it as well, so if that goes through then it will be even more likely that the US will legalize it too. |
it didnt pass???
fuckers i was all planned to move to nevada :ak47: |

What most people fail to realize at this point Nevada has effectively "decriminalized" pot.
You can be caught with up to 3 ounces at this time and risk only a ticket. This can go on for at least 2 more times and the most you might see is another ticket plus drug counseling...it's after that 3rd ticket you might actually see some jail time. This is a far cry from where they were when I visited here on a regular basis 12 years ago. While driving from LA to Vegas they would have billboards that would tell you things like..."don't even get caught with a seed in your ashtray while in Nevada...." I would have liked to have seen this pass...but as some of you have already noted rich dems and repubs alike pass so much legislation knowing that people like potheads...welfare mothers etc don't vote. |
