Well for those that haven't been blind this shouldn't be a big surprise. Does anyone remember how our current currency came into being? It was through a little financial fallout know as the "Financial Panic of 1907" which lead to a new central banking bill known as "The Federal Reserve Act"

Following Turner's assertions of federal minting of ameros, a web site marketing the curio coins released a statement debunking Turner's claims of a government cover up regarding Daniel Carr's amero products. The debunking website Snopes also ran a further debunking of Turner's claims, stating:

Well.. the US dollar is backed. Its backed by gold.. as long as there is gold there is a USD backing.

While it's "possible", there's a lot of differences that just don't make a lot of sense for NA... And I'll tell you one thing for sure.. A hell of a lot of us Canadians feel strongly enough that we don't want to "join" with the US in any sort of "union" that there would be major hell to pay including violence.

Better recheck your history. The US went off the gold standard in 1932.

Surprisingly not true which is why the UK switched some years back. Coins make far more sense and in the long run are cheaper for the mint, mainly because they can stay in circulation a LOT longer.

As for machines - it's much easier and cheaper to make a machine that handles coins that one that handles paper.

What you can buy for a dollar in the US, you can buy in Mexico for ~10 pesos - which is the exchange rate. Do your research, when the Euro was created the economy of each country had to adjust to it, and of course, when people in the different countries exchanged their previous currency, they didn't get the same amount of euros.

And since in that vid 1 Amero = .02 USD, then it'd be around 5 Ameros per peso. So 143 Ameros per gallon of gas down here. (Do your own math for American price :winkwink: )

You can have all the assets you want in dollars, and regardless of how the dollar performs against other currencies or against gold, or if the dollar is replaced with something else....as long as your liabilities are in dollars as well, you don't have much to worry about.
