I can't believe this.
 

Next to my bikes, my dog and our weather, the thing I miss the most when I travel is my coffee.

I had enough here to last me a couple days, but now I am out, so I went over to Ralph's to pick up a couple pounds of beans (decaf and regular). I could not believe it. Not only do they no longer carry the same selections of whole beans, they only had like one flavor of decaf and maybe 2 or 3 of regular!

WTF?!?

It was bad enough when they remodeled the store a year or so ago and changed the whole beans from $6/lb to $10/lb, but now to take away my various flavors?

It is a good thing I live alone because I have a feeling I am going to be in a very sour mood in the morning.

Sucks, get some new coffee?

I like making my own blends. A little of this, a little of that. Ask anyone that has tried it. People that usually take cream and sugar drink mine black.

gevalia has lots of flavored decaf, I am all about the flavored decaf myself. :)

Let me know when you come to San Diego i will set you up with a bean tasting event that will blow your socks off and then you can have the roasted beans delivered to your door. Or if you like the beans can be blended to you exact requirements and shipped to you by UPS.

Are their beans pre-packaged or can you buy them by the scoop?

good question, it looks like they may package them their, I looked at some briefly last night and was intrigued by some Guatemalan beans..... I will go their tonight and report back to you

That's okay, I called the one that is closest to me, and they have bulk beans available. It is a great excuse to go for a little bike ride.
