This is fantastic news. Especially since a number of illegal tube sites were on Alpha Red. They definitely won't be welcome at CWIE unless they play by the rules. Great News!!!!

I highly doubt they will do anything about these illegal sites. If they wanted to they could have already cut off the processing to any company doing advertising with these sites and they havent, so what makes you think hosting them will make a difference?

I doubt it will drive price down. Alphared was probably the cheapest hosting in adult nowadays.

Rochard 10-06-2008 12:46 PM

Congrats to CCBill.......

you have got to be kidding me. out of the dozens of threads over the years about how somebody cant believe ccbill is processing for site X or site Y, because they have stolen content all over the place. and the site is looking for a new processor days or weeks later

an enterprise like ccbill is not going to risk their whole biz, including the billing side (which is what they risk losing if they dont follow the DMCA) to host sites that are going to break the law.

GetSCORECash 10-06-2008 12:49 PM

Congrats to everyone at CCBill!

OK time will tell mate. Let's see all the illegal tube sites they now host get shut down. Maybe shap can give us a list or at least start the list and others can add to it. Then let's follow the progress?

GTS Mark 10-06-2008 12:56 PM

Good news for AR customers!

JFK 10-06-2008 12:58 PM

Congrats on the purchase:thumbsup:thumbsup

Are AR prices going to raise now? if not then Every existing cavecreek customer should start Demanding The Same Low prices Now !!:2 cents::2 cents:

WiredGuy 10-06-2008 01:14 PM

I was going to buy 1-2 AR servers this week before the whole ordeal happened. Will you guys be able to still do it with the pricing quoted or will they go up? Was looking at the 100 megabit package that was going around a while ago to tube sites. If not, no worries, I have another host that can honor the same pricing.

charles, we are still having our match or beat any price deal, so well get hold of you and make you happy. i dont like commenting on things until the details have been worked out, but let me say that we have not turned anyone away from an invoice they had brought to us, no matter how small. so im confident here :)

Gimme a month in that case, I'm just signing the deals this week with the hosts to get this project off the ground. 2 hosting deals in a day and still signing more. I'll get in touch with you once I get the first invoices from them. I know ccbill doesn't skimp on anything so if you can match the pricing, that would be incredible.

pornguy 10-06-2008 01:28 PM

If you base the prices off the Cave creek site, you will see they will go up.

Extreme John 10-06-2008 01:28 PM

I was with Alpha Red when it was Tulin Online before he had any dedicated boxes, it's nice to see that the long term staff might be able to be part of moving forward. It's also nice as a long term customer to hopefully see the service go back to where it was before it started sucking ass.

Best of luck Ron and Congrats!

What happens if i bring you an invoice that says 0.00?

Lace 10-06-2008 01:28 PM

This is great news for Alphared! Congrats on the acquisition, ccBill! :thumbsup

WiredGuy - Is AlyssaDoll supposed to be in your sig banner? lol...

Snake Doctor 10-06-2008 01:33 PM

This will be interesting because alot of people are "boycotting" hosts like choopa, and were boycotting alphared because they host tube sites with stolen content.

If CWIE doesn't kick those sites off the network, are these same people going to boycott ccbill and all ccbill sponsors?

My guess is probably not, but it'll be interesting to watch them tie themselves in knots trying to justify it.

luckily for us, that has not happened yet (so far)...we were counting on hosts charging their clients for hosting.

but what-if's aside, send us a valid quote and well match it, if your paying 0.00, fax your invoice (even if it says no payment necessary) over to us

Pete-KT 10-06-2008 02:19 PM

Congrats now clean up all the illegal sites and it will be all good :)

Doctor Dre 10-06-2008 02:31 PM

AlphaRed is so fucking slow right now it's ironic... takes about 2 mins to load the main page.

KillerK 10-06-2008 02:33 PM

congrats to a huge price increase... I was just about to order a few machines from AR but will hold off now and see what sort of price increase we see.

Please understand that I cannot comment on that right now, because this is so new and so many things are still being discussed.

But I understand that we have had a reputation as being a higher-priced/higher-quality host and that concerns some, based on some of the bandwidth prices that they have been getting through AR. I can assure you that we are striving to be much more competitive than we have previously with prices, as has been demonstrated over the past month with some of the bandwidth deals people have gotten during our ?Match or Beat any hosting deal with L3 CDN or hosting BW?

That said, expect to hear more as soon as these things are settled out. Sorry i could not give you a better answer.

HomerSimpson 10-06-2008 05:28 PM

nice move!

HorseShit 10-06-2008 05:40 PM

as I have said all along, AR isn't going anywhere.

Net Money 10-06-2008 05:49 PM

Corvette you have been asked several times in this thread about the illegal tube sites that are hosted on AR and have ignored to reply. Are you going to close these illegal sites, ? Yes or No?

Rome was not built in a day guys. I like many of you have been very vocal of my distaste for the illegal sites running at places like AR. However if anyone deserves a tiny bit of patience it's Ron and the CCBill staff during this transition.

The ink is not even dry and you guys are all over them with what will the new pricing be will you shut down sites. Give them atleast a few days to formulate a plan see what they have and what needs to be dealt with. This is a huge scale operation. I am sure that official releases will follow.

That would lead one to possibly suspect some tiered pricing based on the quality of the bandwidth provided ;)

Perhaps?

Congrats.

Alpha Red... How big were they anyway?

I never heard of them until now.
