It's great to be out of Phoenix and in Las Vegas :)
We arrived in Vegas yesterday and the weather is perfect. It makes you want to lay around and just do nothing.
We went out last night to Joe's, had an outstanding dinner and did a bit of gambling. I lost 40 bucks, but my wife hit it for 2400.00....gotta love Vegas!! Today will be a busy day. Lori will be of gambling a bit and visiting with her Parents and I have a day of shooting to get completed. Tonight we are going to a show, dinner, drinks and meet up with some friends......:winkwink: It's gonna be a great week of fun and relaxation once I get my work finished each day....just rinse and repeat for 5 days....... This place could be addicting......wouldn't mind living here VS Phoenix. :thumbsup |
Yes, be careful. http://gamblersanonymous.org/

I love living in Vegas, but almost never make it to the strip...in the rare instances I do gamble, I stick to the local places (the stations casinos, Sam's Town, etc.) less hassles and friendlier staff)

I just did not want to have to drive downtown every time we wanted to go to the strip......it's way to busy as far as vehicles go. |
im still here in the valley of the sun

I've been to Vegas 3 times this year, thinking of going in December as well :) Gambling there isn't as much fun as gambling here though :( still love the Red Rock.

Shermshack where are you? He normally post great insites about vegas and what to do when you have lived there you whole life.
I don gamble anymore and i still love vegas. I could imagine living there thou I think the vices could come haunting me. |
I personally love Vegas, but I dont think I could live there. Its more of a "get out of reality" vacation for me every time I go there, and I think living there would kill that.
Although Ive been to Phoenix a few times and probably not one of my favorite places to live, but its not all that bad... try central PA if you think were you live sucks :1orglaugh |
Glad she managed to get some time off work.

I like Vegas in small doses....2 or 3 days is perfect for me.
|
Vegas is a fun place to visit, not sure I'd want to live there full time, too many vices!

I wanted to take a moment to highly recommend a couple of restaurant's to anyone that love's steak and seafood. We originally had plans to go to the Paris, but changed at the last minute and went to Joe's for appetizers...had a pile of oysters, shrimp and stone crab that was sooo tasty, then we went to Wolfgang pucks restaurant named CUT.
We all had corn fed filet's, Ribeye's, shared a 3LB Lobster, appetizers, champagne and a few bottles of wine......it was like a buffet of sharing each others dish. After all that food I can still hardly move....LOL I have to admit, the service at both establishments was outstanding, the food was out of this world and the company with true friends was more than we could ask for. My wife is loving this so much that we have made plans to return next month to stay with friends for another week and do it all over again |
Have a great trip
