Do you have a PUG? If so, I would love to photograph him/her. I will give you a disc with all the hi-resoulution images FREE of charge, as long as you allow me to use the photographs for my portfolio.
Dude is gonna chop the pics for doggie porn.

What a perv.

:D

Choice B, lol. I have NO pictures of the 4 of them together except when they are at the front door trying to get in. The two older ones are easy to photograph because they don't move much - or fast. The 2 youngest ones - I have lots of pictures of their butts as they're walking away from me while I'm trying to get the pic. That or their eye when they jump up to the camera. I guess the butt pics would be good for PUG porn. :Oh crap

I have to admit that even though I love them all, none would be good for stock PUG photography. My only really good looking "show dog" is almost 16, gray in the face with cataracts. The others aren't really standard except for maybe the puppy (he'll always be "the puppy" even though he's 2.5) but being a tad bit mentally retarded, he's not exactly stable in public.

Ahahahahaaa... that got me laughing.

Can pugs even BE trained? I mean really trained, to like, obey commands 'n stuff.
Sit, stay, heel, don't shit there - go over there, etc.

There was a dog show on the other day. They were asking dog owners what the smartest breed was. Everyone said whatever breed they had - except for the pug owner! :1orglaugh They kept going back to her as she listed other breeds. Then she finally said "Pugs are sweet. They're not very smart but they are very sweet.". My son taught "his" pug - the now 12 year old - how to sit/lay down/speak - but he did all three at the same time.......

"Sweet, but not very smart".... yes, that's what I've heard.

Yet I bet they seem to do things that indicate otherwise. I know my late dog Sully would sometimes surprise me in little ways. He was fairly well-trained for all the basics, but sometimes he would do something like go to the window and actually move the curtain aside with his snoot, and look out the window.

My first dog (when I was a teenager) used to jump up and ring the back doorbell when he wanted in. People would literally freak out when they found out it was the dog ringing the bell.

Say no to puggie porn.

Sarah_Jayne 10-06-2008 10:55 AM

My pug is smart but the key is that she is smart when she wants to be. She was very easy to train and she never forgets something once she learns it but she will intentionally do it another way just to see how you react. Which, is where her real smarts are because she is really observant of our behavior patterns. She knows exactly what I do right before she is going to be put to bed for the night and if I even move to do it she reacts.

The spaniel on the other hand is a true evil genius.

TubeTitans_SusieQ 10-06-2008 11:05 AM

aw I want a puppy lol

Peaches 10-06-2008 11:07 AM

Oh yeah, like my pugs know exactly when it's 8AM and 5PM - even when we change back and forth to DST. The puppy knows that the oldest is the only one who isn't going to see him take her food when he's finished with his. Ariel is an EXPERT at diving in and jumping up to take another dog's treat and they all know my nieces are walking snack bars holding their food at pug level ;)

Basically if it has to do with food, they are brilliant - and that DOESN'T mean they can be taught with food - just that they eat well. But I can stand there forever trying to get them to come to me and they will run in the other direction thinking it's a game.

I don't know what to think of that

Both of ours can do all these on command, granted there is no other dog in the general vicinity...otherwise they are like wild fucking animals.
