Are you a registered voter?

I am. :)

I hope everyone posting in the political threads are too. Especially the opinionated ones.

Because if not, that is a prime example of what is wrong with this country, and you are the reason.

People died so you can vote. Please exercise this right. :warning

Yes and in two countries. I have already voted in the American election as my ballot came to me a few weeks ago.

I'm a Republican, but I don't think any of today's neo-cons represent anything even close to a republican. That said, I'm hoping Obama wins but invite anyone and everyone to join me in voting 3rd party.
I'd like to see a big increase in voter turnout and votes for independent candidates just to show that the current system is a far cry from democratic...

Not registered.

I don't feel either of these fucknuggets is worthy of a vote.
Maybe someday they'll add a 'none of the above' to the ballots.

Plus.. no jury duty.

I've been a registered voter for decades, and I hope we ALL get registered IMMEDIATELY (and become "Informed voters" by learning about the record of incumbents, and the positions of challengers).

On behalf of our families and our businesses, I feel that we need to ALWAYS vote in every election, and at all levels of government, NOT JUST THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS----state and city laws and lawmakers also need our attentions.

Since I was 18 - which was a looooong time ago ;)

What kills me is how much people get excited about the presidential election. IME, local elections affect your life a lot more. I vote at least once a year, many times more.

BTW, jury duty no longer uses just voter registration. Most states also pull from the driver's license database.

I remember putting my card in the mailbox the morning I turned 18. To me it was such an important thing to do.
