Which do you prefer? Multiple monitors, or 1 big monitor?

Just curious what you prefer.

multiple . . . . I miss it when on the road.

natas 10-05-2008 11:28 AM

always multiple

mortenb 10-05-2008 11:33 AM

how about both..?! 1 big in the middle and a couple of smaller ones on the sides

evildick 10-05-2008 11:41 AM

I finally switched to 2 monitors and like it much better. I have one 24 inch and one 18 inch. Will hopefully ditch the 18 inch soon and buy another 24 inch to match so it doesn't look so stupid, but it works good for now.

Also running ultramon is a must.

Before LCDs became cheap and popular I had three 19" crts... Then one day I switched to doing everything on a 15" notebook and haven't looked back :1orglaugh

Very nice. I need to get a "corner" desk or something similar. This desk is starting to become too small.

I do a lot of work with ProTools & FinalCutPro and I use one 24" and one 18"

I did that for a while only it was a 17" notebook... was when the CORE laptops came out.... eventually I went with 2 22" LCD's and a quad core CPU with 4Gb RAM and haven't looked back at laptops since....

sooner or later I'll put a 24" in the middle but I'll have to get a bigger desk first I think because I already get sick of turning my head from side to side so I think having a bigger one in the middle might work out best

pornguy 10-05-2008 12:11 PM

IM considering a second one now.

CrkMStanz 10-05-2008 12:16 PM

Dual or more - for sure

I use dual 21" Sun Microsystems graphic monitors (Sony Trinitron tubes) for video editing

and dual 21" Dell LCDs on my 'day' PC

have had up to 4 attached at times but really only need duals

I agree. I rarely use all 4. Usually just the two middle ones.

Jens Van Assterdam 10-05-2008 12:49 PM

Multiple.. 2x23inch does the trick for me :)

candyflip 10-05-2008 02:52 PM

I vote for both. 2 x 30'' on my desk...actually I now need two desks.

woj 10-05-2008 02:56 PM

With monitors being dirt cheap now a days, why not do both? 2 big ones in the middle is the way to go :thumbsup

Violetta 10-05-2008 02:59 PM

I have 2... love it!

Z 10-05-2008 03:08 PM

I've had 2 for about 6 years now and I'm upgrading to 4 soon. Multiple monitors is SO much better.

Bojangles 10-05-2008 03:42 PM

Seems everyone prefers multiple.

sexykat 10-05-2008 03:46 PM

I have 2 26" monitors and I am so glad I have multiple monitors.

Probably because most people haven't had the chance to spend much time behind a 28 - 30'' monitor. For one PC, I prefer one large monitor. In my case, both my monitors are hooked up to different computers.

ExLust 10-06-2008 12:53 AM

Multiple BIG monitors.
