best software for running a blog?

Im going to be making some blogs, so far I don't have a clue on how they work, or what I need to start one. im sure they can't be much different then my TGP's or paysites.

so what does everyone like for blogging scripts? so far Wordpress comes up in google, but im sure there's others. they will mostly be updated from sponsors RSS feeds, if that matters.

any info, or links would be appreachiated.
Thanks!

TextPattern is much more themable, is just as programmable, and doesn't outright suck. It's the VBulletin of Blog software.

wordpress is easily customizable provided you know basic html and css and very easy to install

Also, you can buy wordpress templates on Template Monster and save yourself a lot of design work.
