maybe the typical surfer is getting ad-blind or tired of ads, but click rates seem to be gradually going down

I think Google or one of the third party trackers release similar findings a while back in regards to adwords?

Most people I know have an adword blocker installed

Its been going down for a long time now and it wont change, people have learned to ignore ads, ask yourself this question:

Today while browsing the net at least 50 different ads flashed right in front of your eyes, how many do you even remember seeing?

I saw an ad for a sperm removal product, for your cloths, on a bdsm site today. I laughed so I remembered :)

another bad day again today

sites that used to get consistently around 1% ctr are now around .25%

a year ago we were hoping that things would grow, now it takes alot of work just to try and maintain
