Is Globill going under?

Globill bounced a check for a lousy $17.00 to me. I sent them the scanned copy they asked for over a week ago and haven't heard a word back from them. The check bounced twice for NSF..wtf?

I have removed my test links for the program using them, which is unfair to the owner of the program, cause they don't have control over their procesor, but even a few hits a day going through a processor that doesn't pay out is too many. It's kinda worrisome since there are a lot of programs out there using globill, if these guys are flaking on anyone else, I'd like to know.

It's not that I'm going to die without the 17 bucks (plus 10 dollars in bank fees), but if these dudes can't pay out 17 dollars, what kind of shape are they in overall??

Anyone else sitting on rubber money from Globill? Has anyone else heard a rumor that this is Sypro in a new disguise? Supposedly they're running on the same IP block that Sypro used, at least that's what I heard from someone.

they evidently changed bank accounts...others have had the same thing, but I believe they just replace the checks with new ones from their new account...

Dax 11-01-2002 09:28 AM

When they changed banks, the bank stopped paying out, I had the same problem.

They have said that they will take care of the problem, but I'm still waiting for my loot...

They are 'investigating'

:)

I also got one from their old bank....they repaid that and the fees..
Now I get direct deposit and havent had any problems with the new bank..

I had the same thing. Piddling little $4 check bounced, very depressing. Nice work, GloBill. Good to see that an IPSP with a controvercial stance on Visa regulations has such a good understanding of banking the they let an account switch lead to bounced checks.

Gator 11-01-2002 10:48 AM

I guess they are not going to re-issue the uncashed check I found from last November then.

Paul Markham 11-01-2002 10:48 AM

I'm looking for some CC processors, guess where I will not be looking???

If they cannot get changing a bank straight what else can they screw up?

UnseenWorld 11-01-2002 11:04 AM

Globill did have to make some rapid changes and it may have caused some pains. All of my checks have cleared including all the recent ones, and a lot more than $4 was involved!

mrthumbs 11-01-2002 11:08 AM

I think Globill is making sure they wont have any useless
overhead from <$100 webmasters..

Good thinking.

Pipecrew 11-01-2002 11:15 AM

you guys are all whiners...... Cry about what is saving your ass. you will all be jumping on the globill bandwagon shortly...... this topic of the bounced checks has be discussed at length before.....

Hi FT, I also have had a problem but they haven't repaid me yet. They are "investigating" . Could you let me know more about the amounts involved that they actually repaid you? Many thanks.

I've been with GloBill for three plus years and only had one recent check bounce when they did the account switch. They repaid me the amount plus the NSF fees just recently. All the checks since then have been deposited without any problems.

:thumbsup

I wouldn't sweat it. They're a great company and will make good on whatever you are out. They did say that in a number of cases they are in fact investigating because some webmasters are of course trying to take advantage of the glitch and are inflating their NSF fees or even falsely claiming bouncies where there were no bouncies.

Globill are doing nicely thank you! *g* The minor interruption on changing some banks sure beats declaring what ya had for breakfast and paying $750 for the priviledge to US based processors!:Graucho

ozzymandius 11-01-2002 12:35 PM

:thumbsup

Glo-Bill is 'da best! I use them for all my sites now for years and after suffering through mongo screw-ups with iBill and Epoch I can say no one does it better than Glo-Bill.

I'm not one of the unlucky few that got one of them bounced checks. For those guys, I would say don't worry about it (Heh. easy for me to say). But seriously, if there were any problems Globill will correct it. They're not gonna stiff ya for $17 or whatever...

ATL_Ryan 11-01-2002 12:43 PM

I had a bounced Globill check a couple of weeks ago. This is what they sent me a couple days ago.

Thanks for your patience. Regarding your returned GloBill check, we have resolved this matter with our bank and have dropped a replacement check in the mail today so you should be receiving it shortly. Once again we apologize for the inconvenience for this banking error. As a reminder, all checks after October 1st are drawn on our new banks and those will have no problems passing.

If you have any further questions or concerns about the issue, please let us know.

And I'll say it again: I've never had a serious problem with Globill, and when I've had a small problem, I've gotten prompt, friendly satisfaction.

I agree I think Globill has by far the best customer service of all big CC processors

DemonWolfe 11-01-2002 04:25 PM

Globill is the best 3rd party processor I have ever used.

They actually reply to emails within minutes. I think the longest I had to wait was a little over an hour.

And when they do reply, they don't type in some vague response, they take the time to answer the question correctly with one email.

I wont name any names, but I've used other 3rd party processors who thought a 3 day wait for a 3 word reply was customer service. ;)

One of my globill checks bounced. DemonWolfe what ever happend to your TGP? It used to be half decent a year and a half ago. Now it's a peice of shit. Too many pop-ups and blink link bullshit. It's not wonder you've lost more traffic than you've gained in over a year.
