Should we buy Wamu stock or are they totally gone?
 

What happened. I saw that someone bought a good portion of the company, but what about the rest.

i suggest you stay out of the stock market if you don't know what your doing. WAMU went down and the Feds took over, and then sold the remaining assets to Chase. WAMU stock is worthless......

Strange thats its up to 2.25 from 6 cents.

The market is a gamble in general. If they are still trading, and someone put in lets say 300$ and the shares hit 6$ then you make a small profit.

Im not talking about going full tilt with 10k or anything. IM talking about small in and out that may make a few hundred bucks.

the stock shouldn't even be trading anymore....wamu filed bankruptcy and there is no such thing as wamu as an entity anymore. and it's not that easy to manipulate a stocks price like that no matter how small....you'll need a much larger sum of capital to be able to influence a stock's price...even a penny stock...

Was not even considering trying to manipulate a stock.

What I was thinking is quick cash.

And it seems to still be trading. thats why I was wondering whats going on with the company. I know they sold off a portion, but what happened to the rest.

Did they bankrupt it. or what?

if it was last /2 week you could have done something but not worth a 1 margin..also wm was on the short ban list...still got owned though
