One just has to shake their head in befuddlement at this point. There are even some right wing conservatives who, at first were excited when Sarah Palin was chose as VP, but are now very disappointed with her.

Take a look at what Rod Dreher, a conservative Republican writer at beliefnet.com, had to say on Larry King the other night:

Quote:

"ROD DREHER, CONSERVATIVE EDITORIAL COLUMNIST: I have, Larry. I was initially very supportive of it because of Sarah Palin. I've been disgusted with my own party, the Republican Party, for a long time and I was only very grudgingly behind John McCain.

When he named Sarah Palin, I was ecstatic. I came out fighting for her early on, because she's young, she's anti-establishment and she is a social and religious conservative, as I am, who not only talks the talk, she walks the walk.

I thought...

KING: What changed?

DREHER: Well, what changed is she started talking. She started talking to Charlie Gibson. She started talking to Katie Couric. And I began to realize that, you know, just because she made the right enemies on the left and just because she may share some of my values, that doesn't mean she's qualified to be the vice president.

And I became more and more shocked and disillusioned by how little she seems to know about the things that a vice president should know -- or someone who is going to step in to be president should know.

And with this past week's economic news, I've begun to realize that, you know, we just can't take this risk right now.

I'm not an Obama fan. I'm not voting for Obama. But I just right now don't see that I can vote for McCain and Palin.

King: ...

DREHER: Well, I don't see any evidence that she really has thought deeply about international matters or the economy or things that she would really have to be on top of if she were to become the president. I mean, I agree with Lars, I think she's been a breath of fresh air. I like the way that she stood up to the good old boy network in the Republican Party in Alaska.

But come on, you can't get the kind of answers -- the robotic talking point answers that she has given to Katie Couric -- Katie Couric, of all people, that's not exactly a hard ball interview -- and expect to be taken seriously.

And I'm not a member of the Eastern elite media. I work for "National Review" magazine.

I'm a conservative blogger at Beliefnet.com.

But we have to talk about what we see. And even if it hurts the Republican ticket, I can't be dishonest about flaws I see in Sarah Palin. And that's too bad, because I think that she represents the next wave of conservative politicians in this country. But I guess we're going to have to wait until 2012 and see Bobby Jindal.

It could be a very interesting debate. Biden doesn't know when to shut up and Palin doesn't know what to say. I think if there are time limits put on their answers it will help Biden because he can come to a point then stop. Palin will do okay as long as they don't ask her any questions where she has to leave the script she has spent the last 3 days memorizing. If they ask her blunt questions that could be controversial (like do you think if a woman is raped and becomes pregnant that she should be required by law to carry that child?) she will be in deep shit. She can't say YES! which is what she believes because it will turn many of the independents who will decide this election against her (and McCain by proxy) so she will beat around the bush and look bad. She is a radical religious conservative and her job is now to try to mask that fact from the general public. If she can effectivly pull that off she will do her job, if she comes off, as she has in all of these Couric interviews, like she either knows nothing or is hiding something she will further hurt the already floundering McCain campaign.

Obama has room for error now, McCain doesn't. If Biden only does okay, it doesn't really hurt Obama because things are trending in his direction and he has time and room to fix the errors. If Palin does just okay it means McCain has to hit home runs during the next two debates and I don't think his style allows him to do that. If she flops, it is most likely all over for McCain.

by watching these Palin videos I comclude that this chick can not hold the original idea/thought or questions for more than 10 seconds.... she usually starts alright but all of the sudden she brings a shitload of things that have nothing to do with the question and then she gets confused and forgets the original question which drifts here even further away and the whole answer ends up being off topic.... :Oh crap

BTW ...... T-12 till the action starts.... damm I feel like I did during the opening day of the Dark Knight..... lol

why is everyone trying to analyze this chick's mindset.. If you deal with pornstars, then you know this Palin bitch. She lives in a cacoon of our own life, Beauty pagents, 5 colleges in 6 years to be a sport's caster, been having babies since she was 22, now she's 44 with 5 kids.. in all honesty and no bullshitting , here...SHE DOESN'T REALLY GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THINGS THAT DON'T DIRECTLY effect HER LIFE AND FAMILY...plain and simple..she doesn't read, she doesn't care.

McCain picked her to add spice to his dead ass campaign..now the smoke has cleared and this woman is clearly a person that doesn't give 2 shits to know anything about the world outside Alaska... Now she's trying to "dummy up" a little more, by calling herself " JOE SIX-PACK" gimme a fucking break. This time around a majority of the US is tired of having elected officials being the same dumb bumble fucks you want to have a beer with.

My money is on the Black guy with Havard law degree, broad ideas of the world and fresh concepts on getting the country back on track.

Let's get real folks, shit is serious and the McCain games are just fucking scary.

I wished more people will come out and admit the obvious.. It's not that Sarah is Dumb..she's just never cared enough to Learn

I'm Simon Synister and I approve this message

She is fucking clueless.

I HATE THIS WOMAN. I HATE WOMAN IN GENERAL, they are emotional bags of shit that live off instinctual feelings instead of logic. Have you ever dealt with a woman cop when you get pulled over? or a woman at the DMV, or any woman in any type of authoritative posistion? It's pure hell.

qxm 10-02-2008 05:28 AM

Yeap... as I said before... she must be deepthroating a shitload of sarcastic one liners for this debate like there is no tomorrow... thats what the reps mean by "letting her be herself"...
