New York residents
I am flying to NYC next month, and have a question. Is Newark Airport the same as Long Island? Trying to figure out how to get to the Hilton New York on Avenue of the Americas.
TIA |

No newark is in NJ. You could take any of the airports. Newark is closer to the city though....

Google is your friend and so is learning to comprehend, give them both a try and stop bothering folks with dumb questions a 6 year old should know.
|
when I flew in and out of nyc, newark was my favorite airport.
|
You can probably get a ride to your hotel from EWR. Give your hotel a call, they should have a pickup service or shuttle service.
|
newark is a good choice everything else has serious delays coming in and out

2 baddog Yea Yo!
1. Just grab a cab in Newark and take NJ Turunpike to Lincoln tannel, when you get to NJ. 2. Just grab a cab at Hilton and take Lincoln tannel to NJ Turunpike... It's cheaper to get to NY, its much more money to get out from NY. I wish you good luck homie |
Newark, Laguardia or JFK will all be about the same. Best will probably be JFK to Cab to Midtown Tunnel. It is the easiest of the airports.
If you call 212-777-7777 they usually have a flat rate from the NY airports that are reasonable and they are Lincoln Towncards http://www.dial7.com/ |
If you're on a budget, JFK is your best choice. You can hop on the Airtrain which takes you to the Howard Beach subway station. You can get to the city for 7 bucks.

Take the bus from Newark. Fast & cheap like the hookers on 12th and 23rd...
|
We will be getting a driver. I think he just wanted to know which airport was closest to the Hilton so we wouldn't be stuck in a car all day.

LI ariport is MacArthur which is a long ass ride into the city.....
JFK, LGA are pretty muich same shit time wise... Newark you would just come into the city from the west end (the rear) hehehe |
see you then baddog :) was good hanging in amsterdam

The NYC area is a clusterfuck no matter what airport you fly into, but I would suggest Newark, and then take mass transit into Manhattan, as it it would be the least expensive scenario.
A cab from any of the area airports into midtown will cost you at least $100, while a train or a bus from the airport into NYC will probably cost you around $10 each, but once you land in NYC you will still need to catch a cab to your hotel, so maybe another $10 to $25? My studio is 20 minutes from Newark airport in case you find yourselves stranded. Send me an email and I'll give you my phone number in case you guys need any help... support (at) peckerpass.com You can visit this site for more info too... http://www.panynj.gov/airtrainnewark...idtownMan.html Good luck! |

Either use Laguardia or Newark whatever is giving u a better deal, price, timing etc. Any questions on NYC hit me up lived there my whole life :) |
If you need a car, hit up Clifton Taxi[(973) 473-4111]. If I don't take my regular driver because of short notice or something I always take Clifton Taxi. Unfortunately I can't find my regular driver's card right now.
