surfers like streaming video, and really, streaming works better for newbs too, having to download a whole 115 mb video file before you can watch it is great for the pirates though

I think offering streaming video in high or low def would be the best and it would probably help rebills and retention :2 cents:

We do streaming HD encrypted h264 mp4s. 480p and 720p. No downloads. Well on our exclusive content right now that is. Slowly moving the niche sites over too. I encourage the whole industry to switch to a streaming model.

What does H.264 encryption do? Is it simply a matter of a higher quality stream or is there some sort of anti-theft thing going on there?

The H.264 video gives you better quality with a smaller file size. They can also be played on portable devices such as the iPod, iPhone, and PSP.

Anti theft. Its not h264 encryption though. I said that misleadingly. Its actually done via flash media server 3. RTMPE and the stream can't be ripped.
