PHuckiN Visa
Just got this from Intergal, looks like the good ole $70 a sign up is gone...phuck
Dear Webmaster, Thank you for your support of our $70 free trial program. We have been running this program for over 12 months now and needless to say it has been very well supported by the webmaster community. With recent changes in the industry particularly to do with processing of credit cards and general industry retention rates our company has undergone a lot of changes. The new proposed VISA regulations for 3rd party processors are set to impact the market very soon and will affect the profitability of the industry in general. These new regulations are set to take place on November 15th 2002. To ensure our ongoing commitment to be the industry leader in payouts to webmasters we need to revisit our payout rates so that we can sustain our business well into the future. The decision that we have had to make is that any sign ups sent after midnight November 3rd 2002 will be paid at the rate of $45 a trial join. We hope to launch some new high paying programs towards the end of November / early December along with new sites and new ways to make MORE money with us than any other sponsor. Mood |
HAHAHAHAH
finally figured out that those 3 extra memberships at 39.99 upselling with the freetrial caused their 35% CB rate eh? |
Its going to happen accross the board. Go partnership with good sites which convert and retain members. Much more profitable in the long run.

So they are lowering their payout rate and not offering free trials now? Took them a while to do the numbers!! |
Go with partnerships
I think that's a valid option. I do a mix of both- and of course OFFER a partnership program. When we run a partnership program - we give our sites a lot of personal attention - to keep those members. Our sites aren't plastered all over the net - and generally have some good exclusive content - A membership can pay out well over $100 over the lifetime. It's a patient type of webmastering - kind of an interest bearing savings account. Diversify btw.. my teacher site is selling like crazy |
