I think this is probably a bad thing for Obama..

He will have the hardest time with actual voter turnout, which I believe is very well documented.

Anything to discourage that turnout ("naw dude I aint voting! he's like 4% ahead of mccain anyways") is a bad thing. The best for him I believe would be to be neck and neck on election day according to polls, might actually get some of the youngsters off of their collective asses.

This coming from someone who doesn't really care one way or the other - I think they are both horrible :)

The man is 72 years-old. He's dying, no matter where he is. Ha!

Think about that, btw. At that age, he is much more likely to die during the next four years, than not.
