I dont understand this game sometimes. I understand that this buisness is mostly done over the net and you will more than likely never meet anyone who you do buisness with but...

on the other hand you have people who will constantly try to know you with what your doing yet always try to submit a link or ask to trade traffic. I can just imagine how it was in the late nineties when everyone pretty much was fighting over the same traffic. With traffic flowing and more and more people gaining access to the net daily everyone wnats porn. To me the bottom line is sales. I dont wnat your number one traffic spot, I dont want your high jupiters number I want the loot. To everyone learn your traffic,watch it and nurture it...traffic is your friend. Even though it may seem like there are millions of "webmasters" out there the number of people who are really making decent numbers are far and faw (as seen with the visa crisis) Watch who you talk to, watch who you talk about, and watch who u plan on fucking because karma is a bitch:2 cents:

He's young,20 or so, has a few sites and made some good money a couple of years ago..late 1999-2001..lately his traffic has dropped to shit. Sponsors dont cut deals with him anymore since he cant bring any numbers. He didnt save any of his money and since he spent most of his money he is a paranoid fuck. He runs a couple of paysites and since the visa fiasco he's going to have to sell...

because of the fees (honestly - big fucking deal)?

since he has to sell he sees his grip on what he had slip. When you lose your place in society (in this case the adult game) he's very paranoid. Tries to start and talk shit about those who helped him and try to reveal traffic sources so basiclaly he is turning into a snitch breaking any code of confidentiality. Since he is cutting his own nose to spite his face he is reaching out ona limb...he whores away his traffic at ridiculously cheap prices. His girl left him, he lost his car,basically he is screwd. IF I was ever broke and out the only thing I would be left with would be my balls and my word. I guy liek that would be dead on the streets! :glugglug

Saving is good. I saved all my money from the dot-com explosion. Very good thing I did, that money allowed me to move cross country.

Need to save some money, reinvest some money, and enjoy some money. But not too much of any of the above.

I am a paranoid Individual when it comes to money. 96-99 was our boom time, I paid off all the bills, bought another place.. put money in savings. Nobody ever knew that we made anything. We still drove our old cars (trust me junkers) etc etc..

The only thing we did in those 3 years was a huge trip to Europe and Disneyland with the kids..

Than in 2000 it slowed down and came to a steady income, no longer the mass we had before. So we slowed down. With no outstanding bills we were able to save a little more and now just live confy.

I seen some of my friends who kept saying to us in the boom years, man you all need to spend some of the cash, they drove nice cars, travelled,, lived high.. I am still in contact with some. They still live in the same rented place, the sites are gone or don't do nada anymore.

Lots of stuff we did wrong in the beginning. We never really got to meet and made "deals" got to know the players etc etc etc.. So now were just average. Guys who make a living but not rich like some I know who went thru the boom and suceeded.

I am sorry to see him struggle, I know its easy to spend it when you have it expecially when youre young with a lot of cash. You don't think in advance. I was in my early 30s when it hit us and we were just a little more careful
