This one I think they should of done it. a credit freezes would be very very bad.

I think people and congressmen will panic when they start realising what actually might/is happening and vote yes by the end of the week. I guess the people and congress did want to send a message though, that they aren't happy about it.

rebel23 09-29-2008 06:57 PM

what's happening? what's happening is we have a bunch of crooks in government, a treasury secretary trying to bail out his buddies on Wall Street, the American people are totally against this

I firmly believe at least 75% of Americans are morons regardless of what they think of any bailouts. Why would I personally care what the majority of Americans think about a complicated issue in the first place then?
Not to mention how do we know 90% of Americans disagree with it, no possible way they polled everyone to get such an arbitrary percentage.

Now I also know that at least most congressmen have advisers and staff they can talk to, some of which actually may have read the bailout bill itself. Where I know that the majority of Americans have not and could not sit still long enough to even read this thread.

My congressman was unable to vote as he was to busy masturbating in the Governors bathroom. He was really upset when Arnold asked just what the Hell he was doing?

Brujah 09-30-2008 12:42 AM

My republican congressman voted FOR the bailout.

dav3 09-30-2008 02:46 AM

When the bailout comes back up in the next few days it will likely contain provisions for homeowners and increased FDIC insurance. There is talk FDIC will cover up to $250,000 instead of $100,000 and that their will be bankruptcy provisions regarding mortgages for those in dire need so if you do go broke you do not lose your house. Both good things and worth waiting for. Why just help out business when we can help out the people too? Those that voted 'no' on the bailout did the right thing.
