I know of a few sites that decided to shut up shop because of Visa....They were just making a couple of hundred bucks per month. They had shut down before but Visa was that straw and the camels back snapped....

I am new to this side of the industry... but lemme ask a question...

Can't you guys get your own merchant account and not rely on third party processors? Or do they not issue them to membership sites? Since we sell hard goods we have our own merchant account and don't get stuck with high fees.

On the topic of paysites being sold, yes, I know of a few for sure. All had a small member base and were just making ends meet....

Indirectly, yes, I did sell in the aftermath of the Visa announcement. I had been hoping to find the ideal way to sell my sites, and continue running them, for a while. I don't want to own a business at this point, and there are parts of running mine I needed help with. The Visa issue brought all of that up for me, and got me thinking to the point where I tried to find such an ideal situation. I was successful, and the merger with DarkDollars was born.
