anyone else watch that show on HBO?

half of the show was about obama the other about who can and cant use the N word, so much for being a new "HBO Original" show

But when he did the jokes about generic stuff relationships especially interracial it was real funny

There was a bit more than Obama, Nigga, and relationships. Jokes were not that bad and some pretty damn funny. Just hard to get past editing. One of the first Comedy specials on HBO that would be best in just audio instead.

Even though it was great editing, it got a little annoying, how they kept switching to him at different venues wearing different clothes. It was neat at first, but then got old fast.

Other than that his material was great. We LOLed a lot.

It was good... but, hes jumpped the shark IMO. Carlin was great right up untill his last set.

I agree.. I liked the editing in the start but got real tired of it after about half of it.... The jokes were pretty good, not sure it will be one to last the test of time tho since many were political and timely..

Nah. Carlin 'jumped the shark 3-4 HBO specials ago.

Same for Dennis Miller. 2-3 shows ago he lost his humor and became O'Reilly Republican side kick more a less. Used to love them both. Their last few specials basically were lame ducks with few highlights.

I hold thing about when it use the word fag had me rollin on the floor. Also his neighbor being a dentist that whole bit was very funny.

I agree the bit about what a black man had to do to live in his neighborhood was my laugh out loud moment.

He'll never do a special that will match Bigger & Blacker. But that faggot joke was hysterical, he built it up for five minutes.

It had some good moments.

I thought his last special had very little filler... and the guy was 70. His "religion is bullshit" material was as strong as ever.

We were discussing the merit of "if they still had it" at the same level as their prime.

Yes. He repeated and paraphrased the same stuff we have heard in the previous HBO specials.

They do not get a pass because of their age.
