Can anyone tell at a glance which tube script the site http://TubeFreaky.com is running? I kinda like the way it is laid out.

Dont remember the software, I do know its a theme that is not included but costs.

It looks exactly like pornhub...

I think every tube script available can build that site.
It's up to the webmaster/designer to make the templates.

All you can see of the script is the template.
You can't see the internal workings of the script by looking at that site.
So if you like the way the site looks then it's all about the design.

Sortie, is that really true? Could your tube cgi script for example, be made to look like that with a similar number of rows and columns of thumbnails on the main page? You were nice enough to give me a free install on your tube cgi script on one of my domains, but the default design doesn't look like that at all. It only has a single column of thumbnails on the main page if I recall. Another issue was that I found it to be really awkward in terms of defining which videos were to be loaded in the script, since they had a really weird syntax. My designer and I could never really get the video to play on the main page either and we just gave up on it.

By the way, the person that made that comment is correct, it does look a lot like PornHub. If anyone knows what script and theme that is and is willing to do an install and design job for me I want something vaguely similar (not an exact copy, he he) for a site that will use only sponsor's embedded cam girl videos to promote cams.

The only thing my script doesn't do is show the video time, and I did that because
the script can leech video but has to load it to get the time, which is not the purpose.

You must didn't look at the configuration; there you set all kinds of stuff affecting the
layout there.

If the video on the first page didn't play it's most likely you didn't make any flv
video when you selected content or your server installationof ffmpeg is not complete
or not the newer version.

You have to at least be willing to write some html to get what you want.
There is no way I could make a template that everybody liked. No way.

Click on each of these link and see how easy it is to control the number of thumbs
per row :

Now change "customone" to "customtwo", "customthree" etc... and edit
those custom cells to show all the info you want, background color etc...


You just wrap your html around the tags in the templates that have these links

The tags look like this :

Then in the custom cell you have the info tags like this :

or you can work by hiring someone to do what you want.

Thanks, looks like another good option for a tube script. I actually looked at several pay scripts like Tevs and a few free ones like Nubiles, and this other one called Vidiscript that might suit my needs.

how did the free one from Nubiles look in comparison to the others?

Well, it's free and that is nice. It looks okay, definitely serviceable. I don't know why in the few samples that they had on the site the tumbnails were all left justified, but maybe there are options to fix that. The only one I really had installed so far and played with was the tubecgi script and I had some minor issues with trying to get to to work, especially with the awkward syntax to get the videos to display, but I haven't really spent too many hours on it.

I am having a real hard time deciding which one to use, since I don't really need user uploads. I just intend to use it as a CMS for a bunch of sponsor embedded webcam videos to promote a webcam sponsor. So I am probably going to have my designer wrestle a bit more with tube cgi, try the Vidiscript one and maybe Nubiles. I should probably just hire someone to work on it since we are pretty busy with other things anyway.

Heya Jim, lately I've been playing around with Wordpress and modifying it to act as a video/tube site. Wordpress is pretty pliable if you know what you're doing and throw the appropriate plugins into the mix. Just a little (diet) food for thought. :thumbsup

Your script looks good too, so does TEVs and some other paid scripts. Since I am not dealing with user uploads or needing to load lots of different sponsor videos in there and make use of the utilities that assist with that, I was trying to make one of the free ones work just as a CMS to hold all the videos and links to the sponsor sites and other navigational features.

One question I still wonder is, if I have the embed codes for some flash videos provided by a sponsor like the ones that one could embed on their blog for example with the referring id already on them could I load those into a tube script even if I don't have the videos themselves, just using the codes?
