Best concert you ever went to?
I've seen a lot of incredible concerts in my years but the ones that top my list are:
ARTIST / TOUR David Lee Roth - Eat Em And Smile Van Halen - 5150 Motley Crue / Girls, Girls, Girls Garth Brooks / I think it was called "No Fences" Massive Attack / Mezzanine (in Berlin) Pink Floyd / Don't remember name, but was about 8 - 10 years ago. U2 / Pop Tour Pearl Jam with Smashing Pumpkins / No idea of tour name. Pearl Jam OPENED! Dream Theater / I think it was the " Images and Words" tour - Wow! Lenny Kravitz / Mamma Said Michelle Ndegeocello / No idea tour name The Black Crows / The tour for Southern Harmony And Musical Companion And then I once sat in on an open jam in LA at a small bar about 10 years ago with Lenny Kravitz on bass, Chaka Khan singing and John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers) on guitar. Jamming on old funk and soul tunes all night. Incredible. |
its a toss up between barry manilow and neil diamond....

Believe it or not I really enjoyed the BYU singers. It's probably the best concert I've been to. Of course, I'm know to have an eclectic taste in music.

Bruce Springsteen 12-20-78 Seattle Center Arena
Patti Smith 6-29-79 Paramount Theater Seattle Grateful Dead 12-28-82 Oakland Auditorium |
ALL 2002 ...

The best ones are the ones I don't remember.
|
Metallica + GNR - Oakland coliseum
- First time on shrooms. Walked out on GNR to cruise the parking lot for my sanity. I think I was 16 or so. Before bail out, I'll never forget watching the pits in the field twist and turn into wondrous revolving circles of moving bodies from the safety of the top level during Seek and Destroy. Pink Floyd's Division Bell tour - Oakland coliseum - More shrooms. Had tears and great seats. Moby - Red Rocks - Sober. The sound he bounced off those rock walls were fantastic. |
I was fortunate enough to see Stevie Ray Vaughn before he died, I was only like 8-9 years old but it was 1 of my favorite concerts of all time, Me, my bro, and my Dad, put us on his shoulders to see Stevie play his guitar behind his head

The one I went to tonight was a ton of fun. Maybe not "the best" artists, but definitely entertaining.
|
I've been to hundreds of concerts over the years, but hands down the best was Van Halen - 1984 tour (Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto).
Second best - a tie between Eagles - Hell Freezes Over tour (CNE Grandstand) or Boston Third Stage (Kingswood Theatre, Wonderland). Most memorable from a nostalgic perspective - Max Webster - Live Magnetic Air tour (Sutton H.S.).......my first real concert experience back in the day. |
Prodigy :)

Aerosmith and AC/DC before they hit it big.this was in the 70's

My best concert was my first concert: Iron Maiden and Judas Priest double-bill, back in 1983 I think. It was Maiden's "Number of the Beast" tour and Priest's "Screaming for Vengeance" tour. I still remember what the ticket cost: $8.50! :)
