There is also something called Viaticals...Basically, somebody is terminally ill, they have a life insurance policy and want to cash out. So, an investor buys a, let's say 500,000 life insurance policy for 350,000 (they give the owner/beneficiary the cash), and the policy is then signed over to them. I don't think payday loans are shady...they're just targeting a specific market. I do think that those sales-pyramid look-alikes (don't want to mention brands but there's a ton out there), make a few people a ton of money and a whole lot of people get ripped off...they should be outlawed!!!

But, if you're a wheeler and dealer and you can sell people things they don't need, you can make a lot of money!! Some companies even offer their "top sellers" (I say top of the pyramid) luxury cars while they maintain their top-level status.
