If the economy heads into another great depression in the U.S., will porn survive?

Just wondering what everybody thought about this topic, if the U.S. economy gets as bad as it was during the great depression, do you think US based adult companies will be able survive?

After Shock Media 09-27-2008 04:39 AM

Why limit it to US companies, why would any other webmasters or companies be sheltered from a US economic collapse?

Will porn survive, yes.
Will all US companies survive, no.
Will all US webmasters survive, no.
Will all foreign companies and webmasters survive, no.
Will a shitload of people lurk around as long as they have an ISP and pretend they are still involved and earn more than 100.00 a week in this industry, yes.

When people are poor they don't go out, they stay inside, play video games and watch porn. It will also be much easier to recruit girls.

Never be a great depression again;

People lost all their money and stocks when the market crashed, but that will not happen now since the money is now government insured....However, that doesn't mean things such as employment will be in good shape, you can count on jobs being cut back or dissolved.......

I see people being a lot more picky about the porn they buy. They won't try 2-4 sites a month like a lot of diehards were doing. They will look for the mega site and tube sites

Eriic 09-27-2008 01:28 PM

I only visit tubes, it is anonymous and free and I don't care if it isn't the best quality or even full length????

The fdic does not have enough money to insure even a fraction of the deposits. If a depression happens you will have the fdic going to the fed asking them to print the money and that would cause even more harm with even higher inflation.
