I've come to the conclusion after using more than 30 hosts over the years, that unless you use dedicated hosting, you are treated like the shite on the bottom of their shoes by these people.

I don't care about the $220 I spend per month on a dedicated box, it works, all the time.

Start your own hosting company and make it do what you want. Employ Bill Gates to code it for you..........He doesn't need the money just something to do...

Yes, in 6 years, I've not had one host that hasn't either dicked me around with either downtime, billing problems, or just general unhelpfulness.

I think the rough translation of their reply was fuck you, we'll make up some tech sounding shit to try and dupe the customer.

Virtual hosting is a real pain ....because of the above or stupid clients that thinks that we are to install WP for them, even if the account comes with Fantastico ...

Sounds like a shitty VPS setup. They should get some better virtualization software so they could have just moved your virtual machine to other hardware.

But then again, maybe it's just regular shared hosting and they're calling it a VPS.
