Atheist Scout given a week to declare belief
|
He should say he recognizes the higher power of his gay lover's cock, because he's probably gay since he's still a boy scout at 19 years old. Ha ha....that would really piss them off!

Only in America!! :ugone2far

Well, they are a private organization and I suppose they have that right, but I think that since they gave him a week to profess a belief, he should say that he believes that they are a bunch of simple minded ass clowns.
|
|
Yeah,
"I believe in the supreme power of my gay lover Satan" ...that would be good... |
100% fucked
|
Dont like the rules of the group, dont fucking join.
I wont join the ADL and the JDL because I think their beliefs are shit. Im not gonna joina and try and make them change their position. Kick the motherfucker out. 19 year old boy scout? Stinks of pedophile. |

So then you hate jews? |
:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh
shit like this makes me laugh "he won't profess a belief he doesn't feel, saying it amounts to a lie. "I wouldn't be a good Scout then, would I?" Do they honestly believe he'll suddenly become spiritual because they gave him a week? |

The BSA claimed in court to be a private organization in order to exempt themselves from federal non-discrimination laws, but the fact is they still get a great deal of special treatment from the gov't. including Congressional Charters, special access to public school buildings, funding, all kinds of shit. If they really do want to be a private organization, then fine, they can do what they will. But if they're gonna tget preferrential treatment from the Gov't, they should be forced to obey the same non-discrimination laws every other government funded organization must obey. |

I've never understood the american boy scouts on this issue and on their treatment of gays. The Canadian boy scout movement has allowed gay scouts and gay scout leaders for a gazillion years and the sky hasn't fallen. on a related topic...same thing goes for gays in the military... the objections are so much horseshit. Canadian, European, and Israeli armed forces have had gays in their military for years... and nothing's happened. American men are SOOOOOOOOOOOO worried about their masculinity.:1orglaugh |

If he has a week to state his belief, he should state, "I do believe in a higher power: The Almighty Satan! Long live Satan!" :1orglaugh

The U.S. government should tell the boyscouts they have one week to leave this kid the fuck alone or they will have their organization's special status and special perks from taxpayers revoked.
I wonder how they would like some of their own medicine. :) |
hehe... that would be great:thumbsup

Man you are sharp :thumbsup |
The Boy Scouts is a PRIVATE organization. They can set their own standards. The US Supreme Court decided about 2 years ago that they can exclude gays. I don't see them excluding atheists as being inconsistent with the US Supreme Court ruling.
Maybe the atheist kid can start his own Scouts... Atheist Scouts of America or something like that. Normally, for the Constitution to apply, the organization doing the action must be a GOVERNMENT entity. |
I was in the boyscouts in Norway when I was like 7.
It was kinda gay, they definitely had a Christian theme with the whole thing. Actually reminds me, so had the army... When out on a 2 week field NATO winter exercise, we HAD to attend a service in the field. I am an atheist, so me and a few others tried to protest, but they wouldnt let us out. |

he's a kid-toucher |

Personally, I'd tell them to go and eat a bag of shit. |
Those kind of organisations should be stripped from their special rights. Isn't it strange that they have these rights in the first place? Alot of these "rights" are in violation of the laws against discrimination and equal treatment.
Oh and this kid cannot be a pedophile because he is an Atheist, we all know that only Christian people like young children. |

It is actually part of the Scout oath. I am with Labret. Don't join if you don't want to play by the rules.
|
I say SUE.
If they get ANY government perks or funding at all, sue those mother-fuckers to within an inch of their life. Then sue some more. It's the only way. |

one of these days you wount be able to walk down the street looking at someone without being sued ! |
Maybe the BSA should sue him for violating his oath. He has been a scout all of these years and just now chooses to violate his oath. He is about getting his fifteen minutes of fame.
|
On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the scout law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong; mentally awake, and morally straight What a retarded oath. There's nothing about looking at porn and smoking crack. |
Don't like the oath, don't become a scout. If, as in this guys case, you can no longer abide by the oath, then quit the scouts, and keep your mouth shut.

I hope the ACLU sue and get god removed from the oath! :1orglaugh |

While a lot of negative things can be said about our society's litigiousness [and rightly so], it does indicate a high level of awareness and enthusiasm in using one's legal rights. |
this religious shit is getting on my nerves.

It's a scary world we live in these days....
