Mystery of the childs severed foot - SOLVED
 

Dunno if anyone saw the thread i posted a few days ago about a dog that brought home a child's severed foot, and there was a search underway for whomever the foot came from

well it turns out it was a bears foot.. um wtf , how does a orthopedic surgeon mistake a bears foot for a childs foot. Weren't the CLAWS a dead giveaway , or the fact it was covered in hair.

sounds like a cover up to me.

since no one here seems to know... if you skin a black bear, the body looks exactly like a human body. the paws (minus the claws) look exactly like human hands. its not like the claws are attached to the bone... they come off when you take the hide off and cut the tendons that attach them.


and... after a hunting trip when i was younger, i actually took a bear paw to anchorage alaska and left it in a parking lot at a grocery store and caused a huge scandal because you wouldn't know the difference by looking at it.... and everyone thought it was a human hand, called the police, news teams showed up etc. and it was a day or two before it was confirmed that it wasn't a real hand.
(don't blame me... i grew up in a boring place)

i could def see some average joe thinking they looked the same , but an orthopedic surgeon should know the difference, or at the very least be unsure. Thats who came to th conclusion it was a human foot.

i think you're confused. an orthopedic surgeon confirmed it wasn't a human foot... it wasn't an orthopedic surgeon that found it and called the police.

yeah pigs will eat everything including bone, best choice. if not available cremation is good too but will leave enough evidence unless you crush all the bones to a fine powder and flush them. make sure you remove spine, hair and all teeth first because those need to be taken care of with hydrochloric or nitric acid (better for organic tissue)

it was a bear , but they didn't find out that until after the ortho had id'd the foot as human:thumbsup

the surgeon verified it was human , thats why they sent out cadaver dogs, then later they realised it was a bear
