To put these bail outs in another perspective..
 

The US population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child, so 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up.

AIG is getting a $85 billion dollar bail out..

If you divide 200 million adults - 18+ into $85 billion - that equals $425,000.00 per person. The full 700 billion would give every man woman and child a few million dollars each.

In short the US govt could buy every adult man and woman a new house, new car then pay for their kids college and give it too them for free and still pay less money. Thats how much this bail out will steal from the tax payer.

read the fine print....they need to pay for the war maybe...


actually it would have costed alot less if the government had acted earlier before the downgrades by the rating companies..

Do it on your computer calculator... $85,000,000,000.00 divided by 200,000,000 people.
It is actually only $425.00 per person. Even if you used the bail out figure of $700 billion it only equates to
$3500.00 per person. For his numbers to match it would have to be $85 trillion.

The sad thing is this is already buzzing through the internet and everyone is not even questioning
it or trying the numbers for themselves to see if what he is saying is accurate. Oh the wonders of the internet. Haha...

I think the first thing that should happen is the CEO and all Top financial advisers in that company should have to pay back the last 2 years of their salary!
