Republicans, need your opinion! Is McCain FUCKING UP on purpose?

I honestly think McCain and Palin are trying to lose the election on purpose,,

Seriously.. cuz no one in their right mind would say or do the shit they have been doing / saying unless that was the case... The stuff in the news lately concerning the both of them is just simply bizarre?

I'm Independent, but have not really been a fan of them to begin with, so as far as you Republican /?700 Club? people, why do you think he?s sabotaging himself?

Is he screwing up on purpose in hopes of running again in 4 years on the outside chance Obama is not successful?? (Which doesn?t make much sense, because based on his non-disclosure of his medical records, most believe he will not live beyond 2010..).

I?m confused?

personally, I think obama has a huge mess to clean up, they are betting that they can place the blame on him for 2012

I think he is addicted to the hail mary. He was suffering in the polls and it was looking bad for him then he picked Palin and he was all over the media and she was on the cover of every magazine and things were great. His numbers shot up and it made it look like his choice really paid off. Then the numbers dipped and he sunk again and he is taking it on the chin for the financial stuff so he tosses up another hail mary and calls off his campaign and makes it look like he is rushing back to Washington to save the country. I think he feels that people really see his actions as him being a maverick, but it really smacks of desperation.

I'd agree with that. I think he is addicted to the hail mary, like you said. And this last time it backfired pretty much instantly.

I'm an independent too.

My take. I don't think McCain and his team is intentionally doing bad right now. All campaigns go through ups and downs. It was just a few weeks ago that the majority opinion in the media (and public polls) was that Obama was tired, that people were tired of Obama and that he was making mistakes and that McCain had seized the initiative. Just a few weeks later and it looks like the reverse.

The battleground keeps changing. McCain's team had just found something that was starting to work and then focus switched to the economy where Obama has a clear advantage with voters.

One thing that makes an election so unpredictable is the outside events. What happens if the economy recovers? What if it gets worse? What if there is a terrorist attack on US soil? What if there is one in London? These outside events play a huge role in voter perceptions. 9/11 gave us a George Bush with a 90% approval rating. HUH?

Obama's poll average right now is about 3% which is pretty much what it has been since he beat Hillary. Battleground states to determine. RCP currently has Obama 273. McCain 265.

It's for after the election and McCain can say tell Obama during Obama's concession telephone call "Damn, and I even spotted you 1"
