Have you ever tried Lemoncello?
I got some stuff from Trader Joe's. Not sure I like it, though.
Reason I bought it was because I saw a spot on Kimmel with Danny DiVitto talking about his own brand of Lemoncello... except I think his is probably better. Mine tastes like lemon syrup. Sort of nasty. |
Lemoncello is great if you get a decent bottle. Its really just a pallet cleanser. You just usually take 1 shot after dinner.

Lemonjello? I dated his sister.

When its good it is great, when it is average it is intolerable. I can not think of any "brand" that was good. My great aunt (I think, hell lets say relative) who makes everything herself typically makes some that is fantastic.

I love Limoncello! I always bring it home from Sardinia.
There are a lot of brands and types (based on aquavit, based on pure alcohol) and it is very easy to make it yourself, also VERY good in a Sgroppino. |
it needs to be in the freezer and be icecold
if you want to drink it ! Otherwise it tastes like shit |

I have a bottle of the danni devito lemoncello.. it's good. I've used it for cooking some too (lemon sauces for chicken, etc).
Recently, I had a drink at Olive Garden that they called Limoncello Lemonade...Frozen lemonade, Smirnoff Citrus Vodka and Caravella Limoncello..it was good. PK |
Bought some from Bevmo the other day and it's not so good. I'll be making my first batch of it in the next couple of weeks. The best I've had is always homemade.

My Naibour makes his own and brings it over sometimes very nice stuff but must be frozen

I like it and I generally hate the taste of booze. It is good for mixing too. I had a nice lemonade with it in it to make it lemony. Yum.
