First they remake American Gladiators, now it's Knight Rider.

I thought the whole point of remaking something was to pick something that was originally good. Knight Rider was considered corny even when it came out. But I still play the theme song in my head whenever I'm about to do something cool.

Yeah, it was total crap and bad acting. I KNEW some how some way they'd get that girl in her bra/panties before the show was over and I didn't have long to wait.

I'm watching Sons of Anarchy now to get the bad taste out of my mouth from watching it.

I set up my pc today to be a media server so now I can stream my movies/dvd's/porn upstairs to my ps3 - swwwwwweet!

ok i downloaded the episode and even with all it's flaws it still less cheesey than the original.

Bah, it wasn't all bad... good special effects, good action.

However I think they went straight to the mysterious unknown past thing too fast. They are really trying to get people interested in his past too fast. And the whole love thing is too fast as well. Episode 1 and already there's a love interest between the two.

As for this being the "new" Knight Rider, have you all already forgotten about Team Knight Rider where they had 5 different talking vehicles? It was so bad that it didn't last long.

A show I'm glad to see this year is Chuck. It's a pretty damned good show and if you missed season 1 head over to hulu to watch it. 2 of the stars of that show make my mouth water!

Absolutely, Chuck is a wicked show but it still needs... something. I'm not sure quite what, but it needs just a bit more of something.

Also, am I weird for finding the sister way hotter than the super spy?

Man, I don't know, it's such a toss up they are both so completely perfect. The supporting cast at the Buy More is what really sells the show. Everyone has (or has had) a friend like Morgan and can totally relate to that sub-plot.

The original Knight Rider was cheesy to start with. We used to really like cheesy stuff back then though. Things have changed.

well did you watch the 2 hour movie (backdoor pilot) for the series
because they hinted at people comming after them and the whole first love thing between the two characters.

so it didn't seem that rushed to me, however if you didn't see the movie then yeah i can see how that may seem rushed.

Yeah, I did but still, even with the tv movie, it's still rushed. Hell, it could be just after the whole first season and I'd still think it's being rushed.

If they want to be in it for the long run, they have to draw out the tension, make people want to see where it leads.

They've rushed it in my opinion as there's not a lot of room left to drag it out without it becoming tired.

well i am not to sure about that, remember the original knight rider had a past issue with micheal knight
the guy who ordered the hit that shot him in the face. Once they killed off the "micheal long" persona and he came back as a brand new person with a brand new face. They slowly developed that back story.

i got a feeling they will do something similar with this. Could be totally wrong, but judging from the way they seemed to be going so far i think they are going to cookie cutter the old show. Think same old stories, just more modern.

the first 15min was great!!! kitt turned into a pickup truck and i yelled "no fucking way" and the girl in her underwear was hot. but after that the rest of it sucked. :disgust
