Do you still use RSS feeds?

Hell yes! The RSS feeds + powerful morphing tools is the only way to make good traffic that really converts these days. Tube sites don't sell. TGP's are died for me in 2003. So splogs is the only automatic way to generate quality SE traffic.

I use RSS feeds on almost all of my blogs. I only have few handwritten blogs.

Sosa 09-25-2008 09:43 AM

hey cyberxxx, I have a network of 30 mainstream blogs that are all in the same niche. Do you do work on a project basis as far as just setting up rss feeds etc to to feed them?

email is cubs at broncs dot net if you would like more info. I already hand write them all but would rather just feed them if possible.

kmanrox 09-25-2008 09:54 AM

RSS is simply effective AND efficient.

There is no such a thing as a "free and good" RSS pulling plugin. The most popular ones are Wp-o-Matic and FeedWordPress. First one sometimes crash the blog's database, the second one has a habit to lose affiliate ref codes and pull the feeds with default sponsor codes. Both these plugin are very-very slow because they are based on big and slow 3rd-party GNU libraries. Also the both can't syndicate the RSS feeds with tube-style embedded FLV videos, have a weak duplicate post protection, don't allow you to adjust syndicating settings for each particular feed (e.g. time intervals, public date shifting, maximum number of posts to be syndicated at once etc), can't synonymize, shuffle post contents etc.

yeap i use it

mrwilson 09-25-2008 01:00 PM

I only ever used them until i have time to work on handwriten posts.

I normally host my domain, install wordpress and the required mods and just add rss feeds and let them run until they get listed in search engines.

Then when i have time i put them on hold and work on handwriten posts.

"Suggest" is not a good word if we are talking about a commercial product, especially if it was written by me, because I can't be 100% objective on it. I'm talking about CyberSEO Suite. Many GFYers use it so perhaps some will share their experience here.

You can find price, specs, samples and other tech details at http://www.cyberseo.net/
