What Jesus said...
(Did I really just type that???) |
One is followed by an I, the other followed by an O.
This creates a different pronunciation. |
cause o is a versitile letter?
bomb comb tomb |

What about give and dive?
head and bead? Why would someone make the word to describe a phobia of long words be 'Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia' ? Who decided that the word to describe the inability to say the letter s should be 'lisp'? |
hom·i·cide (hŏm'ĭ-sīd', hō'mĭ-)
ho·mo·sex·u·al (hō'mə-sěk'shōō-əl, -mō-) Either way, you will burn in hell for both... :1orglaugh:pimp j/k |
threads like this make me so much more eager to go back to school
cant wait to take linguistics |
homicide has nothing to do with homogeneous
Look at milk. It usually says homogeneous. Why. becuase its made up pf one. heterogeneous is mixed or not one solid. Lets take this into candy bars. Plain Hershey is homo - a snickers is hetero homicide is just a similar looking word that has absolutely not correlation to the other. |
This thread made me feel a bit dumber just by reading it. :(
