So i was reading about google's iphone killer the g1

and at the end sergey mentions he made a software program for the g1 that will let people toss their phone up in the air and the program will calculate how high it went by using a built in motion detector .

I wonder how many uncoordinated people will try it out and break their g1 phone the very first day :)

plus... all the prices for this piece I keep seeing are $179...
yet logging into my t-mobile... the price is $299
the 179 must be just for new contracts?
