Anyone else addicted yet to "True Blood"?
 

I've been addicted to the new HBO original show "True Blood". It is about vampires and humans trying to coexist and other drama etc. It's really good! It has actress Anna Paquin (Rogue in Xmen)and Stephen Moyer (was recently in the movie 88 minutes). It is really interesting so far! :thumbsup:

Any others watching it and love it?

Watching it, not really loving it yet. Hoping it catches me as more progresses but well lets just say I will give it a bit of time to get on its feet before I pass judgement.

I was hooked as soon as I saw the opening credits and heard the theme song. I never really got into the whole Anne Rice vampire thing, but this show is fantastic.

Yeah, I'm enjoying it. Looking forward to seeing Eric, the 1000 year old viking vampire sheriff.

I only have time for the HILLS......

i'm a fan of the show, love the sex scenes :thumbsup the characters are entertaining as well.

trying to enjoy it. love the concept of the show, but it's moving slow for me. still giving it the benefit of the doubt that the first few episodes are the set-up

I have it saved on DVR, have not had time to watch it yet..

I was a little disappointed after being so hyped to see the show, but it's growing on me...

What's the deal with nudity/sex on it? I've never seen any though I haven't watched an episode all the way through, just put it on bits now and then. Entourage/Curb Your Enthusiasm for me :thumbsup

I've never been into the Vampire culture (never even read an Anne Rice book) but after reading the reviews, started watching it. LOVE IT! Fringe is also looking to be a good new show.

I see enough fucking while working every day, so that part of it is actually a major downside for me. I'm also not impressed with the acting or writing, both of which were excellent in Alan Ball's previous series Six Feet Under. Overall I'm a bit disappointed, but still willing to give it a few more episodes.

i like the cliff hanger endings it cool how each week they end on a wtf moment

Six Feet Under was a tad weak for the first handful of episodes (remember the crazy ads they had?) and I'm hoping that while I enjoy True Blood, that true to form it will ramp up in a week or so :)

I do remember it being a bit slow in the beginning, but I actually liked the ads and wished they had continued with them 'til the end. The acting in True Blood is what is really making it drag for me. Some of it is pretty eyeroll-worthy.

Being from the South I want to slap them with their fake accents, but I've gotten used to that :thumbsup

Oh god, you're right. Maybe that's why it's bothering me so much. Soukie's best friend is the best actress so far.

I've seen the previews for it, that's about it.

The first 4 minutes of the first episode's still the best scene ( so far )
