Who wants to bet there will be a huge terrorist attack next month?

If McCain looks like he will lose the election I bet something BIG happens in October, in a last-ditch effort to force the American sheep into voting out of fear instead of hope... again!

After the election, and after it's too late, a few conspiracy theorists will start putting the pieces together, but they will be ridiculed for being anti-patriotic.

What say you?

Borat will be arrested as Bin Laden

panic and mayhem will cease

kane 09-22-2008 12:35 PM

I don't know that there will be a terrorist attack, but it won't shock me if another Bin Laden tape comes out, or if Bin Laden is suddenly killed or caught. Look at what is happening in Pakistan right now. It has long been thought that Bin Laden was in Pakistan and we have done nothing for a long time. Now 6 weeks from the election we are suddenly in an all out push to get him. I think Bush wants to get him to help McCain.

You have a point, but I think it wouldn't happen because it couldn't be big enough.

And it's a risk as to how people would see it. If people are going to react with suspicion
then it would be a big backfire.

Now a Russian invasion would do it.

What do you want to bet that Russia is being antagonized? :winkwink:

A Russian invasion of where? Any large attack will allow the McSame dopes to push fear. Let's hope I am wrong, but I am certain that the Bush crew will do ANYTHING to keep Obama out... ANY-FUCKING-THING!

That could happen in Panama, and we the US would have to respond with Military.

Guaran-fucking-teed.

I suspect that Russia's aggression is US-backed.

Georgia's aggression was US-backed - and Russia's response was certainly no surprise to the US.

Don't know about a terrorist attack, but I'm pretty sure we'll see a new bin Laden tape in the next weeks. That doesn't necessarily have to be a conspiracy though. Bin Laden is nothing without a foe, so he'll have to sell the next president as Bush's spiritual successor and the new great satan in order to keep his followers in line. That will be a lot easier with McCain than with Obama.

i say you are confused re: what conspiracy theorists do.

Vendot 09-22-2008 03:23 PM

Bound to happen....... while everyone is focussed on the economy, and to help push the stockmarket even lower at an opportunistic time, theyll strike.

And you're spot on when you say, they strike to make sure McCain wins so you can get another crap president for another 4 years (not McCain, he'll be dead in the first week, im talking about red neck Palin).

Another idiot who believes there isn't - like all who have decided not to vote, because it "just doesn't matter".

Well then, what the fuck DOES matter? Would you rather live under a communist regime, or a Supreme Leader who makes decisions up as he sees fit?

America is not perfect, but if total apathy sets in, then all hope is truly gone, and you will only have yourselves to blame.

aluminum foil hats anyone?

Owner 09-22-2008 07:32 PM

They will just ask Bin Laden or Zawahiri to release another mix tape saying something like death to America a week or so before the election.

A conspiracy theory attributes the ultimate cause of an event or chain of events (usually political, social or historical events), or the concealment of such causes from public knowledge, to a secret and often deceptive plot by a group of powerful or influential people or organizations. Many conspiracy theories state that major events in history have been dominated by conspirators who manipulate political happenings from behind the scenes.

I suppose a theorist would theorise.

If you are suggesting that McCain or the Republicans would intentionally cause a terrorist attack to assist their political ambitions, I would say that is one of the most despicable and twisted things I have heard anyone say in recent memory.

or you have a very short memory heh

Perhaps no terrorist attacks or nothing to do with Osama, but more likely Israel will attack Iran which gets the US in the door to continue it's currently engaged agendas.

Fletch XXX 09-22-2008 09:13 PM

all we want is peace guys, dont let the guns bother you

XXXMovie4M 09-22-2008 09:23 PM

we can't destroy more of our buildings because that would be too obvious.

i don't think there will be another attack on US soil because troops are already over there. that was the hard part, now we have to find a good reason to convince the world we need to invade iran so halliburton can start the pipeline.

that's a good enough definiton.

now apply it to your original comment, keeping in mind the last 2 large scale terrorist attacks-

1. 9/11. conspiracy theorist *theorize* that the u.s. government attacked, not al-queda.

2. madrid train bombings, terrorists claim responsibilty to sway the next month's political election, no conspiracy.

if there were a large scale attack, as you are confident of, there would be no conspiracy, other than to think the u.s. government attacked itself to sway it's own elections. but why do that when they can simply adjust the ballot boxes somewhere.

:)

mynameisjim 09-22-2008 10:44 PM

I don't know, another attack would just prove that all of Bush's policies to protect the U.S. have failed and another attack happened right on schedule.

But for those that don't believe in at least some conspiracies, you're crazy. People get killed everyday for a few hundred bucks or less. Imagine what people would do to hold onto the most powerful positions on Earth?

Odin 09-23-2008 12:47 AM

I doubt it. Though Putin himself has claimed a number of times that the US gave the green-light and perhaps even had operatives on the ground in Georgia in order to provoke a conflict at that time in order to benefit McCain. So I wouldn't doubt something (perhaps not a terrorist attack though) may happen.
