Shark attack

Our beach was closed here all day.... lifeguards cruising on jetski's looking for sharks. Some chick got gnawed on today as a snack.

RedShoe 10-31-2002 01:41 AM

Mrs. Redshoe said that when she was growing up right in Oluwalu a lady went into the ocean... while she was having her period. The lady was eaten by a shark.

mech 10-31-2002 01:42 AM

Isn't it illegal to feed Sharks? That bitch should be locked up... after she's out of the hospital.

Amputate Your Head 10-31-2002 01:42 AM

yeah, they get chewed on all the time up in Oluwalu.... but this one today was down here at Kamaole..... kinda unusual.... and freaky, since I live on this one. I'm in this water all the time.

Fuck that women (not literally!). Let the shark eat the rest of her. 6 billion humans growing while the shark population diminishes. I think we owe them something :)

Lots of box jellyfish in my area today. Don't wanna get stung by those buggers!

Amputate Your Head 10-31-2002 02:32 AM

you walk across the street, across the beach, and into the water..... you're in open ocean bro.... and once you're in there, you're no longer at the top of the food chain. :glugglug

SunTzu 10-31-2002 02:33 AM

My gf grew up on Oahu.. Said people got chomped on by sharks all the time. They'd see canoes go out looking for body parts left over.

The water's nice, but not THAT nice.

Hustlin Entertainment 10-31-2002 02:33 AM

I think I fear getting stung by a jellyfish more than getting eaten by a shark. I'm not saying a shark wouldn't kill me, I'm just saying a jellyfish attack is a lot more likely in just about any ocean stretch you stick a toe in.

vegasdude 10-31-2002 05:54 AM

there is something special about sharks! :thumbsup

i have seen shark in the past :)

DarkJedi 10-31-2002 06:51 AM

are sharks considered a fish ?

Zayne E. 10-31-2002 07:00 AM

Sharks ARE fish.

I still have a house in Daytona Beach, FL and I love to surf. Volusia county, FL leads the WORLD in shark bites every year...most of them at Ponce Inlet and right across the inlet at New Smyrna Beach. Still, it's the best place to surf in that area so I still do it. You will frequently get bumped by sharks but that's just a part of it. It doesn't make you real comfortable but the odds of actaually getting bitten are pretty rare...unless you step off and onto their head...then it's fairly guaranteed.

Last year I was SCUBA diving in the Bahamas. On the second dive of the first day, I was followed for about a minute by a 9' Bull Shark. I was absolutely shitting myself...never been so scared in my life. Then on the third dive that day I did the shark dive through Xanadu. It was then that I realized that the shark wasn't looking at me AS food...he was checking to see if I HAD food :1orglaugh

Understand, Respect and just move along :winkwink:
