need some currency advice

Hey guys, need some advice here. I've got $30k CAD that I will be moving into either USD or EUR, but which would be better to do?

Is USD going to tank further because of this subprime stuff?

you moved from Canada to Poland, right?
why not change that $30k CAD into polish PLN?

the polish currency is stronger than ever, but it should get even more stronger before PLN gets replaced by the Euro

and if you keep cash in the bank, you got very good interest rate in Poland now, like 7% per year or so I think

with the USD long term I think it should get stronger compared to the EUR again at some point, but short term and mid term, I don't really know

I would not count on the Greenback to recover. To bad real estate in PLN is very expensive ...

I can't open a bank account in Poland, there's a military draft up to age 25 so i'm technically here as a tourist not a resident until i get older then that or they remove that law... I want to get out of my Canadian bank because they don't do online wire transfers, or frankly allow ANYTHING unless you go there in person.

No kidding. A shitty little 600sqft 1 bedroom apartment in like $160K USD, and that's not even in Warsaw.

If you have a TD business account you can open up an online wiring service with their business reps... i've used it .. its pretty good.

Buy some real estate in Romania or Bulgaria.

If you want to invest 30K for long time (15-20 years or more!) buy something in Tirana (Albania)
