**Entertainment at Internext Vegas 2009 at the PALMS**
If money was no object what kind of entertainment would you like to see at Internext Vegas 2009 at the PALMS?
Last year we had Everclear at the farewell party. It was goods but everyone was tired from 9 days in vegas. I expect to have the bigger parties on Sunday and Monday nights this year to solve that issue. Suggestions welcome..... Haters need not apply.... :winkwink: Thanks! |

My choice of "entertainment" would be free lap dances on the show floor! :) oh, I see as I read further you want names of bands.... lol Hum, I will have to think on that one?? |
Internext Vegas is Monday - Wednesday for 2009 instead of Sunday - Tuesday, correct?

Money is not a problem?? A Cirque du Soleil show just for us!

Well... the name of the hotel is the "PALMS"... so why not let it live up to its name?
Free hand job for all posters in this thread ending in 7. |
I couldn't relate to Everclear because I am from a different generation, but live music is good. I did enjoy the show in Rain with the bondage babes in vinyl. My choice would be a lap dance followed by a full and complete body massage and then a nap with a smile on my face. How about an all expense paid road trip to Pahrump?

Oh and I am open to any suggestion...... do not limit to just bands.... if you have a good idea LMK.
And money is probably an object - but for this exercise I want to see what people would really like if there was an unlimited budget. |
Mickey Avalon...Fits the internext vibe perfectly, and he doesn't cost a whole hell of a lot :)

311's got the boom Chris :thumbsup:thumbsup

Last years party rocked and was a good time. Id like to see an Ibiza type party but a private Cirque du Soleil show would be money.
My gf says Green Day, but she also thinks country line dancing is cool hahaha ^^ seriously, she'll probably be with me in Vegas so if anyone wants to go, I could use some "alone time" :1orglaugh:1orglaugh |

Keep those suggestions coming...... |
I'm totally down with the Cirque idea :)
But barring that, there will be "haters" or at least "disgruntlers" no matter what genre or act you go with. What about a mix of look-alikes? Like get a David Lee Roth guy, a Kiss band, an Elvis guy, etc? |
Yea i thought having Everclear last year was cool, and they were great, but I was pretty disappointed with the number of people that actually showed up, and most that did didn't seem too excited. So I think you are right to plan the big party for earlier and something more subdued on the last day.

Tom petty!
Everclear WAS kick ass. Theres just something about the rain nightclub that weirds me out. Perhaps the looming darkness? Not sure - I like the layers. Just something bothered me about that part of the palms. |
Find a really good "80's hair metal" cover band. It would be pretty cheap, but it would rock the house. I know in Phoenix there is a really great one called "Metal Head" They play at a bunch of clubs out here and really draw a crowd.
Anyway, Just an idea. |

Something I've noticed at the parties is that there doesn't seem to be any hosts going around mingling and introducing people. Some of the sponsor parties have guys doing a sales pitch. I've been to some sponsor parties where I have no idea who the hosts are. I am referring to human beings, not companies. The GFY parties have the painted girls, but they just look good and have their picture taken. Some of them engage in conversation. I think it would be good to have an MC with a mic introduce acts, walk around telling jokes, bring people together, make announcements, etc. We all want to network or at least find out who's who. Anyone remember those lapel decals "HELLO My Name is"?
|
Chris Angel "MindFreak"! Certainly cheaper than Green Day, but then you have to hire all the extra audience members to act all surprised for the camera.
|
My idea was to have hot girls swim in a HUGE fish bowl ALL DAY Long!!! Like Zumanity!!!
