Jehovah Witness Cleaners

Funny porn biz story.

So I hired this new cleaning company to clean my office/studio space. The guy takes the job then calls me today and says "My son in law needs the work more than me, can you give him the job if I bring him by to meet you?"

I said "fine"

They come by and while here the son in law notices a very large number of XXX DVD's laid out in our warehouse. I said "oh yeah you may see some porn DVD's here when you are cleaning, I hope that's not a problem"

They both said "yes it is a problem, we are Jehovah's witnesses"

Then they politely apologized for wasting my time and headed for the door.

We both probably thought to ourselves, "Gee you never know about people".

haha, that's a good one! like Jehova's witnesses don't have sex too! Although on second thought, they probably don't put it on video :)

I don't have an issue with how this was handled. They didn't try to preach to you or convert you, they merely left because what they believe in is more important than money. With all the "religious" people who are willing to break their church's beliefs in order to get $$$$, I respect those who aren't and kept their preaching to a minimum.

I had a lady come into the salon the other day who drops off free books for your customers to read and if you want to donate, you're free to do so. No pressure. She didn't try to preach to me and didn't harass me for any funds. No problems :)

I agree, they were very polite and cool about the whole thing. I just found the story to be kind of funny :)

The son in law did ask me to hook him up with some gay bareback DVD's before he left however </kidding>

Actually out of all the religions I've known, and trust me living in the south you get to know them all pretty well even if you don't want to, Jehovah's Witnesses are the straight up nicest most honest people you will meet in regards to representing themselves and their beliefs. :thumbsup Baptist would be the worst. :1orglaugh

No kidding. My mother and her "boyfriend" (read: Bank - he's 82, she won't marry him because he's too old but she won't perform any hanky panky because they're not married.......but he pays for EVERYTHING even though she's loaded) are both dyed in the wool Baptists. It was bad enough listening to just HER but now I get it in stereo. He sends me 5+ pages of typewritten letters telling me which church to go to, which Bible chapters to read, etc. Jews, Mormons, Catholics, etc. are all going to hell as far as they're concerned :thumbsup

During WWII the Nazis persecuted Jehovahs Witnesses along with Jews etc. but they also valued them as servants and as workers in highly confidental positions because out of everyone (including other Nazis), they knew they could trust them...
