Google is doing a terrible job in indexing forums
 

they used to be so much better, now it is like they are deliberately saying "this forum is only so-so relevancy, so we will only bother to index 5% of it"

how ever, if you have a vb forum vbseo does a great job.

yeah... imagine that... a search engine that's trying to provide the most relevant search results, not indexing 10 billion pages of half witted banter between kids and social retards.

I believe it is because they rate forum content as less relevant.

99.999% of crap said on a forum.... really isn't relevant. :2 cents:

Some tech forums, return some killer results. I don't want to say Google should remove all forums, but at least 99% should be removed.

I hate the forums that show you the question but say pay $10 for the answer, or you have to be logged in to see it. Those listings could be removed any day, they provide no help what so ever when the listing below them has the answer.

I think Google is bringing the social aspect into the algo more, and over time we will see these trash/spam forums never make it off the ground while ones that actually provide info will get the traffic they deserve.

I've seen that 'expert forum' spam crap too, and it ranks high all over the place and is an absolute waste on the web.... wonder how they got all the relevant backlinks because I can't see any real people linking to that garbage
